Glen Huntly, stabbing in Melbourne: 14-year-old fights for his life after being forced into a Volkswagen in broad daylight

A teenage boy has been left with life-threatening injuries after being forced into a car and stabbed in a suspected violent armed robbery.

Police are actively looking for a group of thugs who pulled the 14-year-old in a dark gray Volkswagen Tiguan on Neerim Road outside Glen Eira College in Glen Huntly, Melbourne’s southeast, just after school ended at about 3.35pm.

Police said the car had driven a short distance with the teenager in it before being discarded at the corner of Neerim Road and Grange Road.

He was allegedly stabbed during the argument and was taken to hospital in a critical condition.

Investigators are investigating the possibility that the attack is linked to an earlier incident where four teenagers were robbed by two machete-wielding perpetrators on nearby Kambrook Road at around 3:25pm.
