Eubank also renewed his rivalry with Gennady Golovkin, a fight he has been aiming for for over five years.

He said, “I want to fight GGG. I don’t know where he is now, but wherever you are, Gennady, you’ve been holding those oars too long. I want to bring one, so let’s put it on if we can.’

Despite Eubank’s claims, Golovkin is effectively out of titles after the 40-year-old relinquished his WBA and IBF world middleweight titles in March.

Out of all the fights, Matchroom Boxing promoter Hearn seemed to suggest there’s one he’d like to see.

After last night’s fight, he tweeted, “Eubank v Benn…absolutely huge.”

Eubank’s proposed fight with Benn was canceled 48 hours before it was due to take place due to the latter’s failed drug test.

He has since turned his attention to Smith, demanding a rematch following his fourth-round defeat to the Liverpudlian club in January.

Benn’s suspension for a failed drug test was lifted in July, opening the possibility of a future duel with Eubank.

Smith appeared to hurt his leg early in his fight with Eubank, and Benn said he was unimpressed with his rival’s victory.

Benn was ringside to watch Eubank’s latest win and when asked about the performance he replied: ‘Smith made sure he looked good. What, it takes you ten rounds to send someone with a broken leg? I’m not really impressed.’

In response to Eubank’s call, Benn said: ‘Eubank, let’s get started, there’s unfinished business.

“You could clearly see it was an injury, that was all. 100 percent, you could tell Smith wasn’t himself. His shots didn’t go off, he couldn’t get out of the way of the shots. And that was all.

“I didn’t think it was an impressive performance. If you have a wounded man there, grab him and take him out. If someone in front of me is injured and can’t throw back, he won’t see the end of the round. That is it.
