Terri Irwin shared a cherished photo of her late husband Steve on Thursday, to mark their son Robert following in his footsteps.

The conservationist, 59, posted the photo to Instagram, which shows Steve with a huge grin as he poses next to a series of crocodile footprints along a riverbed.

Steve wears his signature khaki uniform in the gorgeous photo and puts his own hand next to the reptile’s tracks for size comparison.

Terri also shared a photo of their son Robert, 19, mimicking his dad’s photo by posing next to a much fresher set of crocodile tracks.

Robert is the spitting image of Steve in the image.

Earlier this week, Terri Irwin finally made her Instagram debut.

The beloved wildlife warrior and mother of two shared a sweet and poignant photo of her kissing her late husband, with an iguana perched on her head.

The black and white photo shows the deep love and bond she shared with her late husband.

The emotional caption to the photo read, “A busy hour of glorious life is worth an era without a name.”

The caption beautifully captured the essence of their incredible journey together.

She also reposted a picture of her with her daughter Bindi, encouraging all her followers to follow her mother.

Terri’s decision to join Instagram is an important milestone for her as she continues to carry on her late husband’s legacy.

Known as the ‘Crocodile Hunter’, Steve touched the hearts of people around the world with his infectious passion for animals and his tireless efforts to protect them.

He tragically died in 2006 after a stingray barb pierced his chest while filming a documentary about the Great Barrier Reef.
