Lily Miyazaki was eliminated in the second round at the US Open after losing to Switzerland’s Belinda Bencic in straight sets.
Miyazaki went down 6-3 6-3 in New York as she exited the competition, with No. 15 seed Bencic experiencing no issues throughout the match.
The 27-year-old British number 7 triumphed in her first round match against Russia’s Margarita Betova on Monday, but the second round proved a step too far when she was eliminated.
