The young women were selected after more than 120,000 submissions since HYBE and Geffen Records announced the joint venture, HYBE x Geffen Global Girl Group Audition, in November 2021.

Music fans will know HYBE because Scooter, 42, is the US CEO of the label and it was recently revealed that his regular client, Ariana Grande, signed a five-year contract with HYBE just a month ago.

It was reported that the 30-year-old singer had ‘dumped’ Scooter after working together for many years, but it turned out that the ‘rumours’ about Ariana and the manager ending their business relationship were false.

A source claimed that the pair actually “negotiated” new contracts as the manager moved into his new role at HYBE America.

“Contract negotiations have been going on for several months now,” as Scooter focuses less on managing clients and more on “his expanded role as CEO of HYBE America,” the insider told DailyMail.com.

“People spread rumors based on what they know, but they’re wrong,” they said.

“The SB Projects scooter team is still working with both Justin (Bieber) and Ariana as they figure out what this new structure looks like.”

Scooter joined forces with HYBE – the South Korean entertainment group behind K-pop group BTS – in 2021 and was subsequently appointed CEO of the US division.
