Aaron Rodgers’ departure from the Green Bay Packers still leaves a sour taste in the mouths of Wisconsin residents — and a Milwaukee bar hopes to quench their thirst for revenge.
Located in the Lower East Side of the city, Jack’s American Pub promises to cover their customers’ bills when Rodgers starts for the Jets and loses.
It’s a tempting and potentially costly promotion, given that Milwaukee is one of the thirstiest cities in the United States.
But there’s enough fine print to ensure the bar isn’t out of business anytime soon this NFL season.
This promotion only applies if Rodgers a) starts for the Jets, b) the game does not coincide with a Packers game, c) the tab opens at least 15 minutes before kickoff, and d) you are present for the entire game .
A bar in Milwaukee pays your bill when Aaron Rodgers starts for the Jets – and they lose
Jack’s American Pub in Milwaukee’s Lower East Side is betting the Jets will win big
If not, they may feel like sweet revenge as the ex-Packers QB struggles
In addition, food ordered on the bill is not covered by this promotion.
The first of these four requirements seems fairly straightforward, as Rodgers will be the starter for the Jets.
However, the 39-year-old could suffer a serious injury, as he did during the 2017 season.
In addition, there are only four times all year that the Packers and Jets play at the same time: week 3, week 8, week 15 and week 16.
But if that bet is ever cashed in, it could be significantly costly. Wisconsin is home to ten of America’s twenty drunken cities, with Milwaukee taking the last spot.
Jack’s has to hope the Jets win a slew this season – something many outlets say will happen.
Sportsbooks have the Jets as the eighth favorite to win the Super Bowl at odds of +1800.
