Ronald Acuna Jr. fended off two fans, including one who connected with him in right field, as he led the Atlanta Braves to a 14-4 loss to the Colorado Rockies on Monday night.

Acuña tied his career highs with four hits and five RBI, hitting his 29th home run and stealing two bases to raise his major league total to 61. He is one home run away from becoming the first 30/60 player.

One fan got his hands on Acuña midway through the seventh inning just after Atlanta scored four runs to open a 9-4 lead. Two security men quickly grabbed the fan and as they tried to drag it away, a third security person approached.

A second fan then sprinted towards the group and was tackled with one of the security guys as the fourth member of security being chased from behind.

Acuña appeared uninjured and remained in the game.

Major League-leading Atlanta (85-45) scored 18 hits. The Braves have won four of five and ten of thirteen.

Colorado (49-82) secured its fifth straight losing season.

Acuña became the fourth player with 25 or more home runs and 60 or more steals, joining Hall of Famers Joe Morgan (1973, ’76) and Rickey Henderson (1986, ’90), along with Eric Davis (1986).

Acuña, who leads the major leagues with 119 runs. scored on Austin Riley’s home run in the third against Austin Gomber and hit a two-run homer in the fifth off Karl Kaufmann (1-4).

Acuña hit a single on the seventh inning and stole second off Evan Justice, making a huge jump and sliding into second when Justice unsuccessfully threw to first base. He scored on a single by Riley, who had three RBI.

Acuña singled in the eighth and stole second place off Tommy Doyle without a throw.

Kevin Pillar gave the Braves the lead and stayed at 5-4 with a sacrifice fly in the sixth, then robbed Nolan Jones of extra bases in the second half with a spectacular diving catch in the left side.
