Man sparks FURIOUS debate after admitting he urinated in a friend’s shower – only for her to furiously CUT OFF contact with him when he tried to apologize

A houseguest has expressed fear after admitting he peed in a friend’s new house, prompting her to cut off all contact with him.
The visitor, who described himself as ‘a man without a penis’, shared his reasoning behind the controversial move to the Am I the subreddit of A**hole and led to fierce discussions among users.
He explained that due to his anatomical condition, the cause of which is unknown, he rarely finds himself in a situation where he can urinate standing up.
“Most of the time I can’t enjoy the wonders of ***ing while standing,” he explained.
The man, 22, said he was ‘afraid’ to use stand-to-pee devices and sat on the toilet most of the time, but found peeing in the shower ‘very satisfying’.

His family also relieved themselves in the shower and he “assumed it was normal.”
The man’s friend, whom he called “Natalie,” had been hanging out with her guest and their friends for a week after he slept over and the topic of peeing in the shower came up.
The group’s opinions were divided and there was a prolonged ‘uncomfortable silence’.
After the conversation, Natalie, 23, asked the visitor, who described herself as an ‘FtM’ – a term Merriam Webster quoted as “a transgender man,” when he peed in her shower and he replied “yes.” He has since apologized via text message to her, but she has not responded.

The controversial debate over whether peeing in the shower is appropriate or not received more than 2,900 likes and 2,700 comments.
One commenter called it “disrespectful,” saying, “What you do in your home is not necessarily what you do in someone else’s home.”
Another added, “Even if the other person doesn’t know it’s not exactly polite to *** in other people’s showers.”
A third user referenced Fight Club and wrote, “First rule of shower p*** club… don’t talk about shower p*** club.”
While many commentators sided with Natalie, some favored it.

One person wrote, “Not the hole. Showers are meant to get dirty, because you wash away the dirt in them. Your friend can always sanitize the shower after the guests leave if she feels good about it.’
The commenter also brought other bodily fluids into the conversation, adding: “For people who think peeing in the shower is gross, I wonder where they think menstrual blood goes when menstruating people shower. And when people wash their butts, all those germs also go into the shower.’
Dr. Alicia Jeffrey-Thomas, a Boston-based pelvic floor therapist, argues that urinating with the water running every time you hear it triggers an “association” in your brain to urinate.
If you don’t have a “strong pelvic floor,” you could have leakage problems with your bladder if you hear the noise outside your shower.
Standing while urinating is also not relaxing for your pelvic floor and therefore ‘you don’t empty the bladder very well’.
Alicia recommends going to the toilet before showering and training your bladder to use the toilet at least twice, and ideally three to four times a day.
