The office software platform has announced a tweak that will allow Outlook to work more seamlessly with Google’s calendar app, with meeting organizers from the latter now actually appearing in Google Calendar meeting events.
The company reports this in an update blog postIf a Microsoft Outlook user previously invited a Google Calendar user to a meeting event, the Outlook user’s display name wouldn’t show up at all in the list of meeting participants in Google Calendar, but this is about to finally change .

With the new Google Workspace update, any Outlook user who hosts a meeting is now actually listed as the meeting organizer among the other meeting participants in Calendar.
The change, which is now in effect and does not require any action on the user’s behalf, will affect all Google Workspace customers and users with personal Google accounts.
