A woman and a man have been taken to hospital with head and neck injuries after an alleged incident of domestic violence in western Sydney.

Emergency services arrived at a house on Crawley Avenue in Hebersham just before 9am on Friday.

A woman in her 30s was found with head injuries, while the man had stab wounds to his neck.

The man allegedly stabbed himself in the neck upon police arrival, sources told The Daily Telegraph.

The pair were treated at the scene by paramedics and were rushed to Westmead Hospital in critical conditions.

A crime scene has been set up and the investigation continues.
