Camila Alves made a rare comment about her husband Matthew McConaughey when she debunked the public perception of him as a free-spirited stoner.

“She’s very organized, very minimalist, very on time, very prepared, and he gets a lot of those traits from her,” Alves continued.

In 2014, she playfully called him out for being different from his characters in some of his most famous romantic comedies, alongside stars like Kate Hudson, Jennifer Lopez, and Sarah Jessica Parker.

“It’s really funny because people see him in a way on screen or off in public, and they feel like he’s so romantic and so passionate,” she said at the time on Inside the Actors Studio. “Just very romantic and he grabs you and kisses you. And sometimes I think, ‘Who is this man? Can you be a little part of that?’

McConaughey was previously romantically linked to Sandra Bullock, Ashley Judd, Renee Zellweger, Patricia Arquette, and Penelope Cruz.
