Boy George risks an explosive rift with 80s singer Marilyn as he plans to make a biopic about him after being given more time to avoid bankruptcy over a £1.75 million debt owed to Culture Club’s ex-drummer Jon Moss
Cash-strapped Boy George was recently given more time by the court to try to avoid bankruptcy over a £1.75 million debt owed to ex Culture Club drummer Jon Moss.
After putting his London home on the market for £17 million, it seems he’s found another way to make money – but at the expense of his friend, 1980s singer Marilyn.
Because I hear the pair are on the brink of an explosive split after Boy George said online that he was planning to write a biopic about Marilyn, who became famous for his flamboyant cross-dressing. He wrote, “I would call it the Teflon Goddess.”
Marilyn – real name Peter Robinson – 60, said he felt exploited. Referring to Boy George by his nickname of ‘Gina’, he said, ‘She likes me to be composed and well back in the background. I can’t risk Marilyn getting any individual recognition.’
A Boy George spokesperson could not be reached for comment.

I hear that a mysterious billionaire businessman in the capital is looking for a personal hotel-like concierge to control his private life. Are there buyers?
Little beauty! It’s a girl for Vogue’s Tish
When Vogue’s beauty editor Tish Weinstock revealed she was expecting her second child with Lord Moyne’s son Tom Guinness, she joked that the baby would be a “spare.”
Fortunately, the couple, who have a son, Reuben, don’t have to worry about the issue of two feuding brothers like Princes William and Harry as, as I can tell, she’s had a baby girl.
Tish shared this photo of her, Tom, and their daughter, writing, “Welcome to the world, Phoenix Fox Guinness.”

Few have proved as fearless of adversity as Paralympian Jonnie Peacock. At just five years old, he was so severely affected by meningitis that his right leg had to be amputated below the knee.
Peacock went on to win gold in the 100 meters at the 2012 London Paralympic Games at the age of 19, repeating this success four years later in Rio.
But the inspirational athlete, who also took bronze in Tokyo in 2020 and a place on Strictly Come Dancing, now faces a very different race against time – thanks to HM Revenue and Customs.
It has, I can reveal, issued a winding up order to the Supreme Court against its company, Jonnie Peacock Limited. The company has a deficit of £82,623.
Jonnie’s spokesperson says: ‘Jonnie and his advisers are in discussions with HMRC.’ Princess Maria Carolina of Bourbon
Princess Maria Carolina of Bourbon’s latest fashion statement may have attracted attention for all the wrong reasons, as the 20-year-old heiress risked blocking beachgoers’ view by donning a ridiculously large straw hat
The hat of the Italian royal family is the final straw
Italian “It” girl Princess Maria Carolina from Bourbon has built a fan base by showing off her style.
But her latest fashion statement may have attracted attention for all the wrong reasons, as the heiress, 20, risked blocking beachgoers’ view by donning a ridiculously large straw hat.
Shared with fans in no time, she can be seen posing wearing a headpiece and gold inlaid bikini.
But it seems there was a practical reason for Carolina’s choice, as she wrote, “If you want to be in the shade but also swim in the sea … you end up buying a big hat to do both.”
