Scarlett Moffatt slams cruel mum-shamers again for criticising her for dressing her eight-week-old son Jude in ‘trainers’
Scarlett Moffatt has hit back on Instagram at vicious mum-shamers who criticized her for letting her son wear sneakers on Wednesday.
The TV presenter, 32, jumped to defend herself on social media when she received negative backlash to her latest post.
Scarlett shared some sweet snaps of her eight-week-old son Jude, dressed in an adorable outfit.
Scarlett dressed him in a ribbed beige ensemble with a blue denim jacket and a small pair of white Nike sneakers, which she said were “soft shoes.”
She wrote: ‘How can I already have a two month old baby!?

So cute: The TV presenter, 32, jumped to defend herself on social media when she received negative reactions to her latest post
“Spending the whole weekend with my family for my nanny’s 70th birthday. We played bingo, took quizzes, ate burnt sausages from the BBQ, it was perfectly imperfect.
“We all laughed from start to finish and Jude even went in a pool for the first time.”
Most fans of TV personalities rushed to comment to gush over the adorable photos, but some followers weren’t exactly kind and slammed the star for putting the newborn son in shoes.
One wrote: ‘Even if he starts walking around furniture, he should be barefoot or in padder. Not a fashionista… doesn’t have to be a fashion baby! Foot care is vital,” one fan wrote.
Scarlett hit back: “They’re crib shoes!!”
Another said: “Nice picture, but please don’t put soft shoes on a two-month-old baby.
A third said, ‘At that age they should only be wearing socks or baby clothes x he looks beautiful and I’m so happy for you x.’
Scarlett hit back a second time: “They’re soft shoes! They are Nike cradle shoes! I’m not going to put sneakers on my baby.’

According to the NHS, babies don’t need proper shoes until they walk, but Scarlett stressed that Jude wore soft shoes.
Clearly exhausted by the criticism, Scarlett responded to the post: “Thanks for all the nice comments – this is also the Nike soft bottom cradle shoe, they are not trainers.”
Scarlett, who shares Jude with her partner Scott Dobinson, welcomed the toddler in late June.
It comes on the same day Scarlett once again hit back at “ridiculous” mother-shamers after they criticized her for letting her son wear a hat indoors.
She defended Kate Lawler, who was criticized for sharing a video of her daughter Noa, two, throwing a tantrum.
Kate shared a post decrying the naysayers, with Scarlett commenting to share her own experience of mum-shaming.
She wrote, “Jude is only eight weeks old and the amount of unsolicited parenting advice I’ve had.
“We took him for a walk and I took a picture before we went and I was bombarded with ‘you shouldn’t let your baby wear hats indoors’ comments and messages. It’s ridiculous xx.’
Kate is currently on vacation with her husband Martin Bojtos and their daughter Noa and said she shared the tantrum video to show what can happen while you’re away with kids.
Clearly exhausted by the criticism: Scarlett hit back three times, writing: ‘Thanks for all the lovely comments – again this is the soft bottom Nike cradle shoe, they are not trainers’

She wrote, “First of all, don’t tell me what I can and can’t post on my own Instagram account. I would never think of even telling a family member what they should or shouldn’t post.
“Secondly, the movie I posted was not for ‘entertainment’. It’s hugely important for me to also share the realities of vacationing with two dogs and a toddler as so many of you asked for European road trip advice, tips and recommendations.
“If I just shared sweet and smiling family photos, it would be completely unfair and not at all representative of this trip.
“I’m an honest person, which is why I recently spoke in Stories about Boj and I getting into a fight in the car and wanting to kill each other.
“As much as we created some magical memories that we’ll never forget, it was hard at times.”
She then hit back at those who said she should have left her daughter at home, pointing out that the same could happen there too.
She wrote, “The comments that it was all too much for Noa, hence the meltdowns, or that we shouldn’t have taken her, are you kidding me?
“When we get home, she’ll have slept ten hours, wake up in a fantastic mood, and still have a complete breakdown because I broke her granola bar in half instead of giving it to her in one piece.
So 8 hours in the car with unlimited food, drinks, snacks, movies, tv shows, peppa pig songs and stories, multiple breaks to walk and stretch the legs, play i-spy, lullabies, a tonie box , blankets, I hold her hand while Boj drives, that’s actually less stressful than when we’re home on a normal day.’
