Woman reveals shock after learning her adoptive brother is ACTUALLY her biological sibling

A woman was shocked to discover that her brother turned out to be her biological sibling after they were both adopted into the same family.

Frank Laffin, 20, of New York, was adopted as a baby in 2002 by Dennis and Angela Laffin after being found in a diaper bag.

Two years later, Vicky was adopted separately by the couple after being abandoned in a Staten Island hospital bathroom.

According to The Washington Postthe siblings only found out they were actually biologically related after taking DNA tests to learn more about their ethnicity.

Vicky said, “That was definitely a big shock. I never expected that my brother, with whom I had lived all my life, would be my biological brother.’

Frank first entered the Laffins’ lives after he was found in a diaper bag on the doorstep of a Staten Island daycare.

The adopted siblings grew up together alongside Laffin’s biological son, Nick, who was born in 1995.

Both Frank and Vicky describe their childhoods as loving, supportive, and fun, but they didn’t learn about their poignant beginnings until their teens.

Angela said they were ‘too small’ to understand what that meant.’

She told her children, “When you’re ready, I’ve set up a box and we can sit down.”

Nick found out before but he kept it from his brother and sister as he never wanted to hurt them.

Vicky and Frank admitted that even though they knew they looked different from their family, they never felt any different, so it was years before they started asking questions.

But as Vicky and Frank grew older, they developed a curiosity about their own ethnicity and decided to take DNA tests.

Their parents supported their desire to learn more about their background and bought each of them an AncestryDNA test kit.

Frank received his results a few days before Vicky and was surprised to learn that he had some Italian and English ancestry.

But it wasn’t until Vicky got her results back that the couple realized they were actually biological siblings.

Her ancestry profile matched Frank, and according to their results, the siblings shared between 49 and 56 percent of their DNA.

When Vicky called Frank screaming with the news, he thought she was playing a prank on him.

Adoptive parents Dennis and Angela also had no idea they had adopted biological siblings.

Angela said, “I said, ‘What?! No, I can’t, I still can’t even process it.’
