The football concerns were put aside when Loris Karius left hospital on Tuesday along with partner Diletta Leotta and their newborn daughter Aria.
The Newcastle United goalkeeper beamed as he carried the car seat from a local maternity ward to their waiting car.
New mom Leotta, a TV host in her native Italy, joined the shot stopper looking fresh and vibrant in an oversized baseball jersey as they prepared for the journey home.
The couple has been together since October last year and confirmed Leotta’s pregnancy earlier this year.
In a recent interview with Grazia Italy, Leotta, who heads DAZN’s Serie A coverage, spoke about how she was subjected to lewd chants while presenting at matches.

Leotta, 31, also told of a particular incident when she was a teenager.
“I had a bad experience when I was young,” she said. “My gym teacher slapped my ass and said something like, ‘You’re making me want to dip that cookie.’
“I didn’t understand what he wanted to tell me, I just didn’t get it.”
Leotta’s father was a lawyer and the teacher was immediately suspended and left the school.
She also shared how a high school teacher blamed her for “distracting class” because she wore leggings prior to a gym class.
Leotta recalled the first time she met German goalkeeper Karius, who signed for Newcastle last September after watching his Liverpool career unravel after two disastrous errors in the 2018 Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid.
“I was with some friends at the fashion shows in Paris and we went to dinner at Hotel Costes,” she said.
“When he entered, he lit up the room, as if the sun had entered. I said to the girls, “Look, the man of my life has come in.”

Karius, 30, is currently on the books at Eddie Howe’s Newcastle after a turbulent few years in his career sparked by a nightmare performance in the 2018 Champions League final against Real Madrid.
He had not played a competitive game for two years prior to the game against Manchester United in the Carabao Cup final.
His chance to play came after Nick Pope was dramatically sent off in the defeat to Liverpool for handling the ball outside the area.
Martin Dubravka, meanwhile, is Newcastle’s second choice but was ineligible to play as he had already played for Manchester United this season and secured a cup win.
During the match, Karius let in two goals, giving United victory and the cup title.
Before the League Cup, his last game for an English club was the Champions League final with Liverpool in 2018.
He made two mistakes that led to Real Madrid’s goals that night in a 3–1 defeat and drew fierce criticism.
Since then, the German goalkeeper has spent time on loan with Turkish side Besiktas and German side Union Berlin before arriving at St James’ Park.
