Manchester United retain interest in Fenerbahce goalkeeper Altay Bayindir.
United have been discussing a transfer for the Turkey international for several weeks with a release clause of £4.25 million as they look to compete with Andre Onana as the club’s number one.
Bayindir is being checked for a back injury and if all is well he is likely to join Old Trafford.
The 25-year-old made 40 appearances in all competitions, with Jorge Jesus’ side finishing second in the Super Lig, winning the Turkish Cup and reaching the round of 16 of the Europa League before being knocked out by eventual winners Sevilla.
Erik ten Hag also keeps an eye on 29-year-old Benfica goalkeeper Odysseas Vlachodimos.
Vlachodimos has won two league titles during his time with As Aguias, but was ruled out of their Primeira Liga opener against Estrela Amadora on Saturday after a row with head coach Roger Schmidt.

Meanwhile, Crystal Palace remain interested in signing Dean Henderson this summer

Benfica are expected to charge £8.5 million for the Greece international they acquired from Panathinaikos in 2018.
The news comes as Crystal Palace continue their hunt for England international Dean Henderson.
Henderson is not fully fit despite being on the bench as United suffered their first defeat of the season against Tottenham last weekend.
The 26-year-old was linked with a return to Nottingham Forest after being loaned to the City Ground last season, but Palace have since emerged as favorites to graduate from the United Academy.
Meanwhile, United’s third-choice goalkeeper Tom Heaton remains a few weeks away from a return to action after suffering an injury in pre-season training.
Heaton returned to United in the summer of 2021, over a decade after leaving Old Trafford to join Cardiff, but has made just three senior appearances since then.
