I’m a dating expert and here are three body language signs that someone may be attracted to you

A dating coach has revealed three fascinating body language signals someone can display when they’re attracted to you.

Jacob Lucas is a British coach who has used his hands-on methods to “help millions of people get the love life they’ve always wanted.”

In addition to working directly with clients, he shares dating content on TikTok with his 750,000 followers. He is also the author of the Her Dating Coach guide.

In a recent video, he showed three body language movements that people can show when they are attracted to someone else. The video, captioned “Do you see people doing this around you?” showed the dating expert reenacting the moves.

Meanwhile, the text on the screen described the body language signals and what they might indicate.

The clip opens with text on the screen that reads, “3 body language people use when they find you attractive.”

Many body language experts point out that not everyone will always use exactly the same behavior to express the same feelings.

Some note that it is often changes from people’s normal body language behavior that are significant, described as “deviation from (their) behavioral baseline,” rather than specific movements.

However, in Jacob’s video, he shares some signs that are often associated with people others find attractive, and are worth paying attention to.

The first is what he describes as “smoothing out.” This, according to Jacob in the video, makes itself attractive to you.

For example, some of the behaviors that could fall under the label of “smoothing” include tidying hair and straightening clothes.

Jacob’s second body language sign he points out is when someone lightly scratches themselves. According to the video, this may be a subconscious behavior that people exhibit when they find someone attractive.

Jacob has previously spoken of his initial skepticism at this point, once saying, “When I first heard it I thought, ‘That can’t be real'”.

“Then I started seeing people doing it all the time. That changed the whole game for me.’

He continued, “Grooming builds social bonds and that means someone wants to build social bonds with you because they find you attractive.”

Again, while this is a fascinating tip to pay attention to, it’s important to remember that context is everything, and someone is scratching themselves for some other reason, such as getting a rash.

As Jacob points out in the commentary section of the video, “You just have to know what to look for.”

The third and final behavior he outlines in the video is head tilting. According to the dating expert, this “shows the other that we are interested in him or her.”
