Olivia Newton-John’s daughter Chloe says she’s ‘disappearing’ for three weeks to work on ‘mind’ and ‘body’ issues… after ‘neglecting’ her health since mom’s death a year ago
Chloe Lattanzi, the daughter of the late Olivia Newton-John, is taking some time off to focus on her health.
In an Instagram video posted on Sunday, 37-year-old Lattanzi revealed she’s been struggling with her mental and physical health lately.
Specifically, she said she had “neglected” her “mind” and “body” after her mother’s tragic death just over a year ago at the age of 73 after a lengthy battle with cancer.
In her video, Chloe – Olivia’s daughter from her first marriage to Matt Lattanzi – faces the camera with an elegantly made-up face and a striking lime green top.
‘Real talk. To take care of others, you must first start with yourself. This is a universal truth, a universal law,” she began her caption.

Heartbroken: Lattanzi, 37, is the only child of Newton-John, who passed away on August 8, 2022 after a long battle with cancer. Chloe said she had “neglected” her health since her mother’s death
“I look forward to coming home in my strength. I’ll see you at the walk!’ she continued, referring to her mother’s Walk for Wellness, which marks her 10th event to raise money for the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness & Research Center.
The organization provides cancer treatments and is involved in research against the disease, but also focuses on providing holistic wellness support to patients, including acupuncture and massage, as well as music therapy.
The next walk will be held in Melbourne, Australia, on October 8.
“I’m looking forward to health and wellness again,” she continued. ‘We never know what someone’s inner world really looks like. Please take care of yourself, and your ability to heal others and be more powerful than you ever imagined will follow. Take it easy. Take it easy. Easy darlings.’
But in her video, Chloe spoke in a more personal way about the impact her mother’s death apparently had on her health and well-being.
“Since my mother passed away and the year and a half she had cancer, I have not been well,” she admitted.
She apologized for not calling back, then said she was suffering from “extreme amnesia” and “difficulty getting out of bed.”
“I kept my commitments, but I neglected myself,” she said.
Focusing on herself: Chloe said she suffered from “extreme amnesia” and had “difficulty getting out of bed” lately, adding, “One of my mom’s biggest messages was ‘take care of you”
Fundraiser: She plans to take a break after the Walk for Wellness on Oct. 8. The event benefits the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness & Research Center
“One of my mom’s biggest messages was ‘take care of yourself,'” Chloe continued. “If you don’t take care of yourself, you can’t give your full capacity of love, wisdom, kindness and strength to everyone.”
She added that she planned to “disappear” from the public eye for some time after the walk, as she focused on getting better.
“After the hike, I’m going to disappear for about three weeks, just to honor my mind, body and soul, because I’m developing a little bit of health issues in my mind and my body,” she said.
Chloe closed her video with a somber apology to those closest to her.
“I just wanted to say to everyone I’ve been in conflict with, I’m so sorry. I haven’t been consistent with myself and I haven’t taken care of myself,” she said to wrap things up.
“So in the spirit of my mother and in the spirit of the Wellness Walk, I’m going to take a month off so I can fully serve everyone.”
Lattanzi made it clear last week that she was still thinking about her mom when she wore a Hervé Léger dress to the LA premiere of the new film Deltopia on Thursday.
She previously wore the same item in 2016 when she attended a premiere in LA with Olivia.

Lost icon: Newton-John passed away at her Southern California home more than a year ago after her third was bought with breast cancer. It spread to her bones and progressed to stage IV; seen in 2019 in Beverly Hills
The iconic singer and actress passed away on August 8, 2022 at her home in Santa Ynez, California. Her death was announced on social media by her husband John Easterling.
Olivia fought several brave battles against cancer. After being diagnosed with breast cancer for the first time in 1992, she was successfully treated and went into remission.
However, she later revealed that the cancer returned in 2013, though she recovered from it.
Her final choice of the disease began with a 2017 diagnosis of its recurrence. This time, the cancer progressed to stage IV – the most advanced – and spread to her bones.
