This is the gruesome moment when a raging bull stabs a Spanish teenager as he tries to flee from the animal during a bull run, throwing him into the air like a rag doll.
Horrifying footage from the event in Castalla, Alicante province, shows the 19-year-old being thrown around as the animal uses its horns to helplessly throw him into the air.
Fleeing with other young men through the narrow streets of Castalla, the boy initially slips on the road.
As he tries to get up, the bull catches him and immediately uses his horns to slam him into a wall.
The bull repeatedly crushes the teen – who was uncredited in the local media – against the terraced street walls before picking him up again with his horns and bouncing him several times in the air.

Screaming onlookers try to distract the enraged bull, but the animal continues to charge as the teen lies helpless on the ground.
Locals try to help the man, but they quickly back down when the bull looks at them.
Again the man is knocked off the ground by the bull as he is flung from one side of the street to the other.
The runner only escapes when it is flung towards a door and manages to stagger behind a security fence.
The haunting footage was shot during the five-day Fiestas de Vaca – or Cow Festivals – in honor of San Roque (Saint Roch) starting August 12. Local media first reported the incident on August 16.
According to reports, the teen’s condition was stable when he was rushed to hospital, where he is being treated for four horn cuts and multiple contusions.

Local official Jose Rico commented, “It’s like a train ran over him, but the injuries are minor and the boy is in better shape than expected.”
The Spanish animal welfare party PACMA took to X (formerly Twitter) to condemn the event.
It wrote: ‘Bous al carrer’ (bulls on the street) events not only cause stress to the bulls, but also pose a danger to people.
“This 19-year-old man has been hospitalized with four horn cuts in Castalla (Alicante) after being charged by a bull.
“When these festivities cease, we will spare ourselves these tragedies.”
