Gemma Atkinson jokes she ‘needs to fit into her dress first’ before walking down the aisle with fiancé Gorka Marquez as she opens up about ‘wonderful’ newborn son Thiago

Gemma Atkinson has shared a glimpse into life as a family of four, a month after she and fiancé Gorka Marquez welcomed son Thiago.

The actress, 38, who is already mum to daughter Mia, three, said it had been ‘amazing’ since giving birth and felt like the toddler had ‘always been apart of the family’.

She said OK!: ‘It feels like we’ve always been a family of four, it’s bizarre how he’s so in between’.

“Obviously we’re exhausted, but it’s that fun exhaustion where it doesn’t matter if you haven’t washed and your hair is messed up, and we’re in our pajamas, it’s just fun.”

Gemma went on to say how nice it was to live in the “little bubble” of the family, admitting that having a second baby wasn’t easier, but more manageable as she felt more confident and there were “no firsts”. ‘ goods.

She then revealed that she and beau Gorka, 32, were “not fussed” about a big white wedding and there were no forthcoming plans to walk down the aisle.

She joked, “Let me fit into my dress first!” We absolutely love it. We have two babies. I’m not really busy with a white wedding. A nice little quiet affair with friends and family and we’ll be happy.’

It comes after Gemma revealed she wants Gorka to have “chemistry” with his Strictly partner ahead of the new series – while the pair rejected the show’s so-called curse.

The former soap opera star spoke of the importance of bonding between the dancers as the key to success in the competition.

Gemma, who was paired with Aljaž Škorjanec on the show in 2017, told Hello!: ‘Everyone said (during her time in the match) “You have to look into (Aljaž’s) eyes and get close” and I was like “Oh my God, this is horrible!” But the dance looked worthless because I didn’t do it’.

Adding: “I’m always in favor of them having chemistry!” I think Gorka and I are very lucky that we both understand each other’s work’.

The pair went on to talk about the show’s infamous curse that caused the star’s relationships to end after their appearance on the show.

But Gorka labeled it a “myth,” saying, “That can happen anywhere in any job.”

Last week, new mom Gemma took to Instagram to reveal that she’s been labeled “fat and lazy” by trolls.

Gemma discussed how she was terribly embarrassed for letting her mother push the stroller while they were out for a walk.

Despite being hit by the mean trolling, Gemma responded with a positive attitude and laughed the matter off.

She explained that she went to the doctors to pick up a cream and said, “So I had an appointment to pick that up and I’m still wearing these (maternity) dresses because the scars (from childbirth) are rubbing, so i looked like a bag of rags.

‘My mum pushed the pram because it’s quite hilly where I live, I didn’t want to do it too much uphill.

“When I got to the doctors, I looked at the drug ingredient list on my phone to see if it would affect my breastfeeding and get into my bloodstream, you know how I am.

“Anyway, I get a lot of DMs, some are nice, some are not. I already had one today who said Thiago shouldn’t be in the sun.

“I heard it said again how lazy I was to let my mother push the pram. I have another saying “you were fit and you are still fat”.

It comes after she recently admitted she’d lost 12 pounds in baby weight since welcoming her second child via C-section on June 17.

The radio host uploaded a clip of herself barefoot, in low-rise sweatpants and a gray tank top, lifting them up to show off her stomach.

Gemma filmed herself in a full-length mirror proudly displaying her diaphragm from all angles, explaining that it’s normal for bellies to stay distended longer after a C-section “because of the inflammation and swelling of the abdomen after surgery.”
