Bella Hadid rides again! Model gets back on the horse after revealing she’s ‘finally healthy’ following years-long battle with Lyme disease

Just two weeks after speaking out about her long-standing health battle with Lyme disease and announcing that she was ‘well at last’, Bella Hadid is now reconnecting with one of her life passions.

On Saturday, the top model and longtime equestrian took to her Instagram page several times to share her love of horseback riding with her 59.5 million fans and followers.

The first few photos she posted show one of her four-legged friends giving her a kiss while she’s at Wellington International, an equestrian club in Wellington, Florida.

Showing that she is doing everything she can to spread the love, the runway queen replied and gave the horse a sweet hug on the nose.

Hadid, 26, would share three more carousels of herself, enjoying her time with different horses, riding horses, including a few jumps at the club, and spending some alone time with the beautiful animals.

The Washington, DC native, who grew up on a farm in Santa Barbara, California, was also seen kissing another horse in a video posted with 8 photos and another clip of sorts.

The fashionista was dressed in two different traditional equestrian ensembles: one was all white hugging her lean physique, while the other was equally form-fitting but all black.

There are several pictures of Hadid doing show jumping, which is part of English equestrian events. Jumping lessons are often seen at horse shows around the world, including the Olympics.

One look at the beaming smile on her face in every image and it’s easy to see the love she has for the horses and equestrian sport.

“Thank you to all the wonderful trainers and people who let me ride their incredible horses and my Lucy, Blue, Ami,” she wrote in the caption. “I love these animals.”

She showed off her riding skills in the first clip of another carousel.

Dressed this time in a black and white combination, Hadid again showed her skill and bravery by jumping more, which can prove to be dangerous.

The superstar model, who was recently named after Time’s 100 Most Influential People of 2023 listlooked like a pro as she jump after jump on the back of these gentle giants.

Not only did Hadid offer another kiss for a horse, she also spread the love to her mother, Yolanda Hadid, 59, who, like Bella, also suffered from chronic Lyme disease.

In one photo, the proud daughter kisses her beaming mother on the cheek as she wraps her left hand around her other cheek.

Bella has also credited her devotion to horseback riding to her mother’s love of horses throughout her life.

“I’ve been riding since I could walk and the fact that my mother knew everything about horses really made my passion grow,” she revealed in an interview

The model’s love of horses in her youth extended to her goal of competing in the Olympics, but she eventually had to retire in 2017 due to health issues related to sports at the Olympics – before having to give it up in 2016 because of her Lyme disease.

In her health update earlier this month, Hadid revealed she is “finally healthy” after more than a decade of struggles and treatments, including “100+ days of Lyme, chronic illness, (co-infection) treatment(s) nearly 15 years of being invisible suffering.’

She went on to share how her younger self, who suffered all these years, “would be so proud of me for not giving up on myself.”

She also shared her gratitude that her mother was there during those difficult times.

“I am grateful to my mom for keeping all my medical records, staying with me, never leaving my side, protecting me, supporting me, but most of all, believing me through it all,” she wrote with clear emotion in her words.
