Bali officials have destroyed and seized dozens of sex toys from tourists arriving at the Indonesian island’s airport.

Customs officials destroyed a total of 27 colorful phallic objects, as well as a motorized thrusting dildo machine deemed too graphic to enter the country.

In addition to the selection of rubber penises, officials also displayed butt plugs and vircators during a press conference about the recent contraband.

Some 4.3 million illegally imported cigarettes were also set on fire and countless bottles of liquor destroyed.

Bali’s Ngurah Rai customs office said they destroyed goods worth a total of about £175,000 (3.4 billion Indonesian rupiah).

The items were seized from tourists entering the Indonesian provinces of Bali, West Nusa Tenggara and East Nusa Tenggara between January and July this year.

Customs officials displayed the sex toys and contraband at a press conference before setting them on fire.

Customs chief Susila Brata said: “Sex toys are usually confiscated at almost every airport customs office.

“They are usually brought by passengers on their way to Bali.”

While most sex toys in Indonesia are not explicitly banned, many are considered too spicy for the country’s norms and traditions. The country – which has the largest Muslim population in the world – has strict anti-pornography laws and anyone caught viewing porn could face years in prison.

Due to strict legislation, sex toys have become easy targets for customs officials to seize at ports of entry.

This isn’t the first time customs officials have seized a collection of sex toys and banned contraband before a press conference. Last year, they staged a similar event, setting fire to colorful intimate objects.

During the recent seizure, a local resident quipped, ‘Why destroy the dildo machine? It’s good for drilling walls.’

Users online expressed their amazement at the sheer number of dildos displayed by the customs officers.

The largest sex toy in particular drew attention, with one user commenting, “The black mamba dildo stands firm.”

Another said during the bizarre press conference: “The officials’ faces seem very happy.”

Another commenter quipped, “I’m not sure everything seized has been destroyed. Some people must have snuck in to take them.’

“Of what was shown, the rest was resold or distributed to relatives,” another sneered.
