Tucker Carlson poses for a picture with glamorous ex-White House staffer at Donald Trump’s Bedminster Golf Club

A former Trump White House staffer posted a photo of himself with Tucker Carlson at Donald Trump’s Bedminster golf club in New Jersey, prompting questions as to why the former Fox News host was there.

In a viral tweet, ex-GOP staffer Mackenzie Rohde posted a grinning photo of herself with the TV host at the New Jersey golf club earlier this week.

In the time since he abruptly left Fox in April, Carlson has posted a series of lengthy interviews on Twitter — a series his team calls “Tucker on Twitter.”

With his fourth indictment this week and the question of whether Trump will participate in the first Republican primary debate next week, it led to questions about where he would sit for a lengthy interview.

Each episode of Carlson’s Twitter show has tens of millions of views, according to Twitter, and guests have ranged from Andrew Tate to Ice Cube, to former Hunter Biden business partner Devon Archer and most recently Vivek Ramaswamy.

Trump, whether or not he will participate in the upcoming Republican presidential debate in Milwaukee, continues to try to balance his presidential campaign – which is now well underway – with the mounting legal pressure he faces.

On Monday, he was indicted for the fourth time by a Georgia grand jury on charges of attempting to overturn the results of the 2020 election.

DA Fani Willis has issued a 41-count indictment accusing Trump and 18 of his compatriots of violations of the RICO law and a range of other charges that span the gamut of election interference.

She said the indictment alleged “violations of Georgian law arising out of a criminal conspiracy to overturn the results of the election in this state.”

Trump called her “an out-of-control and highly corrupt prosecutor” and said the allegations were part of a “witch hunt.”

The case – based on laws typically used to take down mobsters – is the fourth this year against the 77-year-old Republican and could mark a turning point, the first televised trial of a former president in the history of the USA.

If convicted on all charges, he risks 71 years in prison — and state charges, unlike federal ones, cannot be pardoned by a president.

Trump called Willis a “mad partisan,” but she said at a news conference Monday night, “I make decisions in this office based on the facts and the law. The law is impartial.

“We look at the facts, we look at the law and we bring charges.”

In a recent biography on Carlson, the TV host reportedly revealed that Trump was ogling the “beer girls” at his golf resort in Bedminster, New Jersey in a photo that went viral of them with Marjorie Taylor Greene.

Carlson was asked about that image by his biographer Chadwick Moore for the book, Tuckerwhich was released on August 1.

The trio were captured last July watching the LIV Golf Bedminster invite, with Carlson clearly laughing at something the former president had said.

“He was talking about the beer girls,” Carlson recalled. “Look at those beer girls? Can you believe they have legs like that? You can’t make legs like that, that’s genetics! The human genome explains that,” the former Fox News host quoted Trump. Carlson thought the comment was hilarious.

“That’s what he said, and I love that. You tell me something that amuses me immensely. Because it is rooted in truth and it is unexpected. I’m the perfect audience for that,” said Carlson.

The television presenter who now hosts a program on Twitter noted that it was his first time at a golf tournament – he doesn’t play the sport because, “I’m left-handed and have no coordination.”

But, as I said, Trump feels a moral obligation to entertain the people of his world. He’s the patriarch and everyone around him should be entertained by him,” Carlson continued. “And I agree that it is absolutely an obligation of the headman, and people who fail to fulfill it will fall.”

In response to some of the negative comments Carlson allegedly made about Trump, which came to light as a result of the Fox News vs. Dominion Voting Systems lawsuit, he explained his position:

‘Do I like Trump? I love Trump,” Carlson told Moore during one of their sit-downs after the text messages were revealed. “But Trump has so many levels. He was a completely ineffective president. He couldn’t handle my household. He’s not a manager and that’s very frustrating to see.’

Carlson placed some of the blame on the people Trump hired.

So that was very frustrating to watch, extremely frustrating, infuriating to see his stated agenda undermined by people who work for him. It was crazy. Like watching someone’s kids burn down their own house and there’s nothing he can do about it,” Carlson said.

“I hated watching that and I was angry about it,” he continued to Moore.

That said, Carlson described dining with Trump as “one of the greatest pleasures in the world.”

“If you put together a list of people to have dinner with, Trump would be at the top,” Carlson said. ‘He is unbelievable. He is a television character. He was the number one star on NBC.”

‘How do you get there then? By being an incredibly amusing, charming, dynamic person,” he continued. Trump is simply the absolute best at that level. So funny, so incredibly eccentric and monomaniac in a hilarious way. So nice too.’
