EXCLUSIVE: Kevin Costner’s estranged wife Christine Baumgartner is spotted carrying boxes of clothes and shoes to storage unit a mile from their $150 million home after she was kicked out amid nasty divorce

Kevin Costner’s estranged wife, Christine Baumgartner, has been seen carrying boxes of clothes and shoes to a storage unit a mile from their $150 million home.

Handbag designer Baumgartner, 49, was kicked out of the family’s home amid her nasty split with the actor. She has since lived in a $35,000 a month rental in Santa Barbara.

Wearing Chanel sandals and black wide-leg pants, Costner’s estranged wife was seen dragging the plastic boxes to and from her suitcase in Carpinteria, California.

The boxes contain clothes, shoes and coat hangers and other belongings from her storage room. On August 15, Christine got help from a friend to move her things.

Christine and the Yellowstone actor, 68, initially tied the knot in 2004 — but she filed for divorce on May 1 after 18 years of marriage.

After her July 28 move from the main house, the mother-of-three stayed “in a smaller house” on the property that had been used for staffers.

Baumgartner had stayed in the area so as not to disturb her and Costner’s three children — Cayden, 16, Hayes, 14, and Grace, 13 — who will be returning to school with their friends in the coming months.

She then moved into a new rental home — which is located within 10 miles of her former home — renting at a rate of $35,000 a month, sources said.

The home has four bedrooms and four bathrooms and features amenities such as a swimming pool, fire pit and BBQ area. The luxurious home is surrounded by green bushes in the upscale California community.

Meanwhile, Kevin was spotted getting his pants trimmed at The Perfect Fit in Montecito after losing 15 pounds during his divorce.

Last week, DailyMail.com published photos of the rental house in Santa Barbara that Baumgartner, 49, moved into after being ordered to vacate the $145 million property she had shared with the 68-year-old Yellowstone star during their divorce.

A close friend of the designer said the move was a relief for Baumgartner – whose initially amicable divorce from her estranged husband turned sour and left her in an awkward living situation.

“Christine said she feels like the weight of the world has finally lifted now that she’s moved,” the insider told DailyMail.com.

She said she wouldn’t be surprised if Kevin’s staff kept an eye on her while she was packing.

“She still doesn’t understand why Kevin had to drag her name through the mud and make what could have been easy painfully difficult.”

The source revealed that Costner and Baumgartner have not had any verbal contact “in months” and have only communicated through their lawyers — much to her dismay.

Baumgartner, who filed for divorce from the Yellowstone star in May, had also complained that he was struggling to find a suitable rental nearby.

A recent filing revealed that Baumgartner rented an “off-site” storage unit to store some silverware, some pots and pans, a Peloton bicycle, family heirlooms, clothing and friends’ personal items.

Obviously, this is the same unit she was seen taking things from on Tuesday.

This comes after Costner accused her of ransacking the house they previously shared.

Through his attorney, the Yellowstone star accused his ex of taking his assets “without his knowledge or consent,” which he says has increased significantly.

Baumgartner previously wrote in court filings that she was hesitant to leave her home without a plan and financial resources, if only for the sake of her children, whom she doesn’t want to move multiple times.

She claimed that ‘Kevin wants me to rent (a) place without (a) financial plan. However, (I) have our three kids to think about. It’s against their best interest to commit to rent that (I) might not be able to pay, especially since that would eventually lead to multiple moves.

“My goal has been and will continue to be to maintain as much stability as possible for our children, including having the right resources and a plan so that (I) can establish a stable home for them, rather than arranging temporary and inconsistent housing,” she continued .

The Let Him Go actor was about to help his estranged wife move out per their prenuptial agreement, but it was a relatively paltry sum for their lifestyle.

Costner reportedly paid her $1.5 million to find a new home, but with California’s high housing prices — especially if she tried to stay near Costner — she may have struggled to find something that resembles the luxury to which she and her children are accustomed.
