The 135-pound king enters the fray after a tie for decision victory against Henry Cejudo in May.

O’Malley will attempt to win the title for the first time in his professional career, entering the main draw this weekend after beating former champion Petr Yan last year.

This weekend’s card also features the return of Zhang Weili. The strawweight queen will defend her title against rising star Amanda Lemos. Undefeated prospect Ian Garry is also on the main card as he aims to climb the welterweight rankings when he takes on Neil Magny.

UFC 292 – All the important details

UFC 292 takes place on Saturday, August 19, with early prelims starting at 11 p.m. in the UK.

For those watching in America, the early prelims begin on Saturday at 3pm PT, 5pm CT and 6pm ET.

The prelims are then scheduled for 1am on Sunday, while in America it kicks off at 5:30pm PT, 7:30pm CT, 8:30pm ET.

UK fans can watch the main card at 3am. In the US, the last five fights will begin at 7pm PT, 9pm CT and 10pm ET on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Australian fans who want to see the main action can tune in at 12pm AEST, when the main card kicks off.

The main event between Sterling and O’Malley will not get underway until around 5:30am on Sunday morning in the UK.

How to watch

UFC 292 will be broadcast live on TNT Sport 1 in the UK and will also be broadcast live on the broadcaster’s app.

Coverage for this weekend’s PPV showdown begins at 1am on Sunday.

American fans can watch the action on ESPN, while Kayo will broadcast UFC 292 live in Australia.
