A Connecticut doctor was kidnapped from Brooklyn Mirage, the NYC hot spot where two clubgoers have died in recent weeks, then held hostage for an entire weekend by a Bronx club promoter.

The doctor is not named, but his story has emerged with the arrest of his kidnapper, Anthony Benjamin, who has now been arrested.

On July 21, the doctor was leaving the Brooklyn club when he got into an unlicensed cab.

The driver refused to take him home and Benjamin – who was already inside – instead sent them to a party in Manhattan.

‘Club promoter’ Anthony Benjamin was arrested after the doctor escaped to the hospital where he worked and told colleagues about kidnapping

Once there, he claimed to be the doctor’s “protection,” according to the Connecticut local news outlet The hour.

Benjamin then forced the doctor to call a Lyft back to where his vehicle was parked near the Brooklyn Mirage, but held him hostage for another two days.

Steve Daley was also arrested for helping Benjamin by driving the doctor's car

First, he demanded that he withdraw money and asked for $20,000.

The doctor was only able to withdraw $1,000, which Benjamin used to buy food for friends and family.

For the next two days, he forced him to buy him clothes and a haircut.

The doctor said Benjamin was armed with a gun the entire time.

He was eventually able to escape when doctors called from the hospital where he worked.

He told Benjamin it was an emergency and his colleagues would become suspicious if he didn’t let him go to the hospital.

Once at Norwalk Hospital, Connecticut, on July 23, he told his co-workers that he had been kidnapped and they called the police.

Benjamin was arrested along with another man, Steve Daley, who had helped him drive.

While the kidnapping incident is unrelated, it stems from the ongoing concern of clubbers in the Brooklyn hot spot after two recent, mysterious deaths.

Brooklyn Mirage has been plagued with controversy in recent weeks following a spate of deaths

In June, Karl Clemente was found dead in a creek near the nightclub after being sent away for being too drunk. His death was ruled unsuspicious, but few other details have emerged about how he died.

On July 29, Goldman Sachs analyst John Castic disappeared after leaving the club for an Uber at around 3am. He appeared sober and in control in a surveillance video showing him leaving the club.

Two days later, his body was also found in the same creek.

His grieving father previously told DailyMail.com that the family knew the cause of his death.

He suggested that he could have had a fatal reaction to food containing peanuts, to which he was fatally allergic, and fell into the creek.
