Geordie Shore legend Charlotte Crosby breaks down in tears as she quits the show forever after latest series went ‘so terribly wrong’ she can’t bear to watch the new episodes
Geordie Shore legend Charlotte Crosby burst into tears when she announced she has left the show forever.
The reality star, 33, who welcomed a baby girl named Alba Jean with her boyfriend Jake Ankers last year, rose to fame during the first series of the MTV show in 2011, stayed until 2016 and returned last year.
Charlotte has now revealed that filming on the latest series went “so horribly wrong” and admitted she can’t bear to watch the new episodes.
The star flew home from Cyprus early after filming the show just two days earlier this year, and she was left “sad, paranoid and anxious” about the fallout from her departure.
Speaking on her Always On podcast, Charlotte said, “It just went so horribly wrong. I don’t know why, but the whole series, I found out later, was kind of weird. I didn’t expect it to turn out like this and that’s why I’m sad.

“I am sad for many reasons. I’m sad that I took Alba and Jake, my family, to a show I loved so much and it went so badly wrong.
“I feel like I could cry talking about it. I felt extremely guilty for not knowing any better. I just thought we’d have such a good time.
‘We didn’t. We did have some good times. Listen, it was fun. I was only there for two days, but we had some great times in quarantine.
‘There was a silly argument, over a high chair, that escalated. And I just left. I just had to get out of that environment. I had never raised my voice in front of Alba before, and I did in this discussion, and I thought, ‘Oh God, I feel absolutely terrible.’ I’ve never been so angry and excited.”
She got emotional and said, ‘As a mother you feel so guilty. I was full of guilt. I felt anxious, I felt guilty. I think in the weeks I came off the show I just felt awful. I was so concerned.
“Did I make a bad decision to go in there with my family? I was worried about what everyone would say about me leaving. After that it only got worse.’
Charlotte admitted she can’t handle watching the new series: “To be honest, I don’t think I’m going to watch the show because I’m so scared of it.
“The moral of the story is: I haven’t really had a fight with anyone. I don’t have bad feelings for anyone.
“There was just a silly argument. I still love them all very much. You’ll just have to look. It just fills us with fear. I don’t even know why.

She continued, “For that reason, I certainly don’t think I could be involved again, which is so sad. It’s not because of any particular person, and it’s not because I wouldn’t go back because I don’t want to be with them.
“But how I felt after, during and hearing stories about what happened next — it was so awful.
“I’ve never felt so sad, paranoid, and anxious before, and I don’t want to feel that way again.
“I think I’ll just keep doing shows where I’m really happy and having a good time.
“But there are no major quarrels, no one hates each other. There were some disagreements. These things happen.’
She also claimed crew members don’t rush to give stars the items they ask for, and believes it could be done “on purpose” to create a “pressure cooker” environment in the villa.
Charlotte said, “I should have known that anyone who lives in that area with families and kids … and can’t do or get what you want when you want it because of production.”
“When we live in that house, we’re not really allowed to use our phones, we can’t just leave the villa. If we need something, we have to ask a crew member and they have to get it. To be fair, they’re never really in a rush, so you wait ages. It’s like a pressure cooker.
“I don’t know if they’re doing it on purpose to blow everyone up. Jake seems to think so, because that was his first experience with Geordie Shore.’

Charlotte reportedly left filming for Geordie Shore in Cyprus to fly back home early after becoming “unhappy” with the dirty accommodations.
It was recently reported that filming fell into chaos after many of the stars fell ill and became too unwell to film.
It is alleged that Charlotte dropped out of filming early to go home due to the lack of cleanliness in the villa.
Despite leaving early, the mother of a child will continue filming for the new series in the UK.
A source told The Sun: ‘Charlotte was really dissatisfied with how dirty the villa they stayed in was – there were no cleaning products and she had her baby daughter with her.
“She was fed up and flew home early — it was all very stressful and she just wanted to go home.
“It left a bad taste in some of the cast’s mouths, but it was all great TV when she stormed out.”
It comes after it was reported in February that Geordie Shore has been suspended from fencing after 12 years.
The MTV reality show – which followed the lives of party stars such as Newcastle’s Vicky Pattison – was pulled amid plummeting ratings, The Sun claimed at the time.
The series began in 2011 and has spawned numerous celebrities and influencers, including Holly Hagan and Chloe Ferry.
A source told the axing publication: “MTV chiefs have decided it is time to call it a day on Geordie Shore.
The already commissioned series, the show’s 24th, will begin filming this weekend and the reunion will continue as planned later this summer.
“But once they’re filmed, MTV has decided to shelve the series and won’t be using it again. Think of it as letting the format rest instead of canceling it immediately.’

The insider added that while it has been one of the most successful runs of all time, it hasn’t been the same for a few years, so bosses thought now would be the right time.
The publication reported that while at its peak of success over a million people watched each episode, it is now said to be around 100,000 viewers.
An official MTV spokesperson told MailOnline, “Geordie Shore has not been canceled and remains one of MTV’s biggest shows. We can’t wait for fans to see what we have in store for next season.”
The 24th series will continue, as will a second reunion series this summer.
