A Texas woman has been awarded $1.2 billion in a revenge porn lawsuit after her ex-boyfriend tried to humiliate her by posting intimate photos of her online.

The woman, known only as Jane Doe, said she was harassed for years by her ex-boyfriend Marques Jamal Jackson who posted sexually explicit images of her on the internet without her consent.

The woman had dated Jackson for four years, but when she broke up in 2020, the harassment began, according to her.

According to court documents, Jackson had done this with the intent to “embarrass, harass, torment, humiliate and publicly disgrace” the woman.

The lawsuit also said Jackson hacked into the plaintiff’s mother’s home security system to spy on her.

Jackson also allegedly sent links to her close friends and family to sites where intimate images of her had also been uploaded.

After this went on for a year, the woman said she tried to intervene, but Jackson told her it would only get worse.

Jackson also had access to her bank accounts through which he paid his rent in Chicago.

In an email, he told her, “You will spend the rest of your life trying to wipe yourself off the internet, but failing.

“Everyone you ever meet will hear the story and go looking. Good hunt.’

Speak against fox26, the woman said, “It has been discredited. It’s slandered. It has tried to be reduced to someone’s disgusting desire to hate.

‘I have tried everything. Anything I could think of to get help. I tried to get help.

“I hope this effort makes it easier for other people. Doing the work is part of moving forward.’

The jury ordered Jackson to pay her $200 million for past and future mental pain, and $1 billion in exemplary damages.

According to lawyers representing the woman, Jackson is currently out of state and has not been extradited for further prosecution.

Lead Attorney Bradford J. Gilde, of Gilde Law Firm, PLLC, said in a statement: “We are grateful that the jury took a strong stand against the defendant’s abhorrent behavior and against image-based sexual assault.

‘Although a judgment in this case will probably not be recovered, the compensation judgment gives DL her good name back.

The sentencing is also the jury’s plea to raise awareness of this technology-fueled national epidemic.

“We will forever admire DL’s courage to fight back. We hope the staggering amount of this verdict sends a message of deterrence and deters others from engaging in this despicable activity.”
