Kylee Enwright: Australian woman who fell from balcony while holidaying in Thailand dies after community raised $200,000 to take her home

An Australian grandmother who fell from a balcony while on holiday in Thailand has tragically died.

Kylee Enwright, 48, has been battling for her life in a coma since May 28 after a severe fall and face on the road while on holiday in the resort town of Khao Lak in southern Thailand.

The community rallied behind her family and raised the money needed to transport Mrs Enwright to Australia.

Her husband Paul gave a heartbreaking message that she passed away Tuesday morning.

“It is with the greatest sadness and heaviest heart that I wish to inform you of the sudden passing of Kylee Enwright today, Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at 9:58 a.m.,” the poignant social media post began.

Kylee passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones. Kylee suffered a second brain hemorrhage on Sunday morning that was catastrophic and insurmountable. So far, Kylee has made great progress after her initial brain injury sustained in Thailand on May 28, 2023.

“Kylee was a unique wife, mother to Harrison, Jacinda, and Slade, grandmother to Aurora and Leo, and mother-in-law to Ellie and Xander. Kylee was one of the kindest, most generous people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting.”

Ms Enwright was a registered organ donor and gave up to eight people a second chance at life.

“Kylee, rest in peace my love until we meet again. I love you,” her husband finished the post.
