GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy says he will consider pardoning Hunter Biden if elected in 2024 β€” and will do the same for both Trump and the January 6 protesters

Entrepreneur and political novice Vivek Ramaswamy suggested he will try to move forward in a spirit of “national renewal” that would lead him to consider pardoning Hunter Biden.

Ramaswamy, while trailing former President Donald Trump, has recently shown himself to be competing with Governor Ron DeSantis for second place in the Republican primary.

Speaking in Iowa Saturday, where he made headlines for performing Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” to a crowd of supporters, the 38-year-old spoke about his plan to shut down the FBI and reinvent the Justice Department.

He said he will systematically pardon “anyone who was the victim of a politically motivated persecution” as part of his “great revival.”

That includes Trump, Jan. 6 peaceful protesters, and “members of the Biden family in the interest of moving the nation forward.”

Ramaswamy said he will systematically pardon “anyone who was the victim of a politically motivated persecution” as part of his “great revival.” That includes Trump, Jan. 6 peaceful protesters, and “members of the Biden family in the interest of moving the nation forward.”

β€œIt is a broad theme of this candidacy that leads us to national renewal rather than national division. It’s part of a broader vision of an American revitalization,” he told the New York Post.

Ramaswamy said this as he joined the chorus of outraged Republicans who criticized David Weiss’ choice as special counsel to investigate the president’s troubled son, as a plea deal on his tax and gun crimes was rejected.

“Hunter Biden’s special counsel is just a fig leaf designed to distract,” he wrote on Twitter Saturday.

David Weiss is *the same* person who negotiated the farcical Hunter Biden “plea deal” that a federal judge single-handedly rejected. Don’t buy the deflection, it’s just a smokescreen.”

The appointment is a move by Garland to undermine claims by Republicans and IRS whistleblowers that U.S. attorney David Weiss lacks full authority and is directed by the Biden administration.

But top GOP lawmakers investigating Hunter and the Biden family immediately rejected the move, calling it an attempt to interfere with Republican probes.

They also wondered why Weiss could be trusted when he signed the first Hunter deal that was considered a blow to the wrist before it unravelled.

The biotech entrepreneur is the youngest contender for the 2024 Republican nomination, but he’s had a surprise blowout in the polls during the race.

He placed fourth in the latest DailyMail.com poll of Iowa voters. And a few national polls showed Ramaswamy second over DeSantis. He comes third in the RealClearPolitics Poll Average of the race.

Trump is still leading the game by double digits.

But there is no doubt that Ramaswamy, who brings a lot of energy to the campaign phase, has some momentum on his side. He has already achieved the qualifications to stand on stage for the first GOP presidential debate, which takes place in Milwaukee on August 23.

Polls show that younger Republicans and voters with college degrees like the 38-year-old.

In late July, polls began to show Ramaswamy tied with DeSantis for second at 12 percent, outpacing more experienced candidates.

Behind DeSantis and Ramaswamy, every other Republican contender scores in the single digits.

Born in Ohio to immigrant parents from India, Ramaswamy earned a biology degree from Harvard University and went on to graduate from Yale Law School.

He made a fortune after starting a biotech company and is the author of several books, including ‘Woke, Inc.’ The books helped Ramaswamy gain fame in conservative circles.

Ramaswamy, 38, ended his honest conversation with Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds rapping to Eminem’s Lose Yourself on Saturday.

The crowd cheered him on and Reynolds gave him a high-five when he finished his performance.

Reynolds had asked the business tycoon his favorite strike song and Ramaswamy said he was Lose Yourself. She joked that she was showing her age by not knowing that tune.

Ramaswamy spent Saturday at the annual event campaigning for votes. It’s a busy day for those interested in the 2024 presidential contest: GOP contenders Donald Trump, Ron DeSantis and Nikki Haley are also campaigning at the fairgrounds.
