Vivek Ramaswamy thrilled the audience at the Iowa State Fair on Saturday by rapping to Eminem’s Lose Yourself.

Ramaswamy, 38, ended his chat conversation with Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds by performing on the hit.

The crowd cheered him on and Reynolds gave him a high-five when he finished his performance.

Reynolds had asked the business tycoon his favorite strike song and Ramaswamy said he was Lose Yourself. She joked that she was showing her age by not knowing that tune.

Ramaswamy spends Saturday at the annual event campaigning for votes. It’s a busy day for those interested in the 2024 presidential contest: GOP contenders Donald Trump, Ron DeSantis and Nikki Haley are also campaigning at the fairgrounds.

The biotech entrepreneur is the youngest contender for the 2024 Republican nomination, but he’s had a surprise blowout in the polls during the race.

He placed fourth in the latest DailyMail.com poll of Iowa voters. And a few national polls showed Ramaswamy second over DeSantis. He comes third in the RealClearPolitics Poll Average of the race.

Trump is still leading the game by double digits.

But there is no doubt that Ramaswamy, who brings a lot of energy to the campaign phase, has some momentum on his side. He has already achieved the qualifications to stand on stage for the first GOP presidential debate, which takes place in Milwaukee on August 23.

Polls show that younger Republicans and voters with college degrees like the 38-year-old.

He has targeted younger voters in his campaign pitch. He spent Friday night posing for selfies and talking to voters at Jalapeño Pete’s, a popular Des Moines bar.

He has said his campaign’s message is about “speaking the hard truths, the truth you might speak at the dinner table, but you don’t feel free to speak in public.”

During his conversation with Reynolds, he talked about his conservative policies, including a plan to drastically cut the federal workforce.

He said he would have a 75 percent “cut of staff,” of which 50 percent would be eliminated in the first year alone.

He ended his chat by donning a red hat, grabbing the microphone and shouting Lose Yourself. The song won an Oscar in 2003 for best original song in the movie ‘8 Mile’ and was the first hip-hop song to win that award.

During his college days at Harvard, Ramaswamy had a sideline as a libertarian-minded rap artist who went by the stage name ‘Da Vek’.

He said he was inspired by Eminem.

‘He’s growing up in the caravans, with a single mother, and he wants to make it. He’s going to use the moment to do it. He feels like he’s going to use the moment to do it, he grabs it and then he makes it happen, and I thought it was a pretty cool story,” Ramaswamy told Politico last month.

“I didn’t grow up in a trailer, but I also didn’t grow up in the same conditions as most of my peers at Harvard. I strove to accomplish what many of their parents did. It appealed to me, I would say.’
