Tom Brady was serenaded by Birmingham City fans at a local pub when he flew in to watch the Blues take on Leeds United on Saturday.

The NFL legend became a co-owner of the Blues earlier this month thanks to an existing relationship with the club’s new American owners.

After missing out on Birmingham’s 1-1 draw with Swansea on the opening day of the Championship and their 2-0 win over Cheltenham in the EFL Cup, Brady have flown in for their first home game.

Brady has now been spotted in a local pub, with Birmingham fans singing to him as he soaks up the pre-game atmosphere.

Take to Twitter, he previously posted a photo on a plane when he wrote, “Any plans for kickoff guys? See you in St Andrew’s.

This led to Birmingham’s official account replying: ‘Goodbye, Tom!’.

And it seems the Brady found plans ahead of the clash, taped in a local pub surrounded by Blues fans as they sing to him.

“Birmingham City are an iconic club with so much history and passion and to be part of the Blues is a real honor for me,” Brady said after joining the club.

“BCFC is built on teamwork and determination and I am delighted to be working with the board, management and players to make our Second City club second to none.

“I’ve been part of some great teams in my time and I’m looking forward to applying my perspective to create the same success here in Birmingham.”

The former Premier League side has struggled financially in recent years, but the arrival of new owners at St Andrews has left Birmingham fans optimistic.

Despite players like Jobe Bellingham and Tahith Chong being sold this summer, there have been several reinforcements as the Blues look to finish strong in the Championship.

They hope Brady can prove to be a lucky charm when they face newly relegated Leeds United on Saturday.
