Pink fan goes into labor during the pop star’s concert in Boston and WALKS to the nearest hospital to give birth to a baby boy

Pink got a brand new fan last month in the most adorable way possible.

During the 43-year-old Grammy-winning singer’s concert at Fenway Park in Boston, Massachusetts, on July 31, Pink fan Angela Mercer went into labor and later welcomed a son.

Mercer, who was 31 weeks pregnant at the time, traveled all the way from Albany, New York, with family members to attend the Pink’s Summer Carnival Tour stop in Boston, according to a lengthy statement released Aug. 9 by Brigham and Women’s Hospital at its Facebook page.

The post also included pictures of Mercer, her newborn son Aycen Hart and the family members who went to the concert and hospital with her.

The new mom attended the show with her mom Barbara and her sister-in-law Amy. The hospital statement also said the trip to see Pink perform in Boston doubled as a “girls’ trip, (to celebrate) Barbara’s birthday.”

Sadly, the trio didn’t get to enjoy and see much of the concert, as shortly after it started Angela, according to the Brigham and Women’s Hospital statement, “went into contractions.”

After consulting her doctors over the phone, Angela, along with her mother and sister-in-law, immediately left Fenway Park (the home baseball arena of the MLB team The Boston Red Sox) to go to the hospital.

However, the trio couldn’t get a ride to the hospital because of all the crazy traffic around Fenway Park for the “So What” singer’s concert.

(Angela) and her family decided that walking was the quickest way to get to Brigham and Women’s – and so, decked out in their concert outfits, they made the trek to (Brigham and Women’s Hospital) where Angela later gave birth to her son at the Brigham’s NICU,” the hospital’s Facebook statement read.

In the hospital’s lengthy Facebook post announcing the news of the arrival of the singer’s newest fan, Angela expressed her and her family’s appreciation to Brigham and Women’s Hospital for their help after going into early labor .

“My husband Ace and I are so incredibly grateful to the exceptional team at Brigham and Women’s Hospital! The medical staff, case management and social work have confidently guided us with their knowledge and expertise, while being personable, empathetic and engaged,” said Angela.

The hospital concluded its statement by sharing that the arrival of the newborn on July 31 fell on a special day for Angela’s family, as “Aycen was born exactly on the birthday of his grandmother Barbara (Angela’s mother), and although the family was not could enjoy the concert, they say they received the greatest gift of all: a healthy baby boy.’

The star is currently in the middle of her ongoing Summer Carnival Tour, in support of her ninth studio album Trustfall (2023). The tour started on June 7, 2023 and ends on March 19, 2024.

The next show for Pink’s Summer Carnival Tour is scheduled for August 12 in Chicago at Wrigley Field.

Pink and husband Carey Hart, 48, have two children together: 12-year-old daughter Willow and six-year-old son Jameson.
