The CIA has a ‘secret method’ to ‘make pain go away’ – and TikTokers believe it works

  • The declassified 1977 document has a creepy warning on the first page

TikTok users are convinced that a CIA pain relief “cheat code” from a declassified 1977 document will make your discomfort go away.

The special method was developed by the Monroe Institute of Applied Science as part of the CIA’s Gateway Program.

This was a kind of training aimed at changing states of consciousness and leading to a ‘gateway to different modes of perception’.

The Gateway Intermediate Workbook prescribes reducing pain by closing your eyes and then visualizing the part of your body that is in pain.

The special method requires you to look at the area of your body that feels uncomfortable. After this, you need to repeat the number 55515 in your head.

According to the Gateway Intermediate Workbook, to reduce pain, close your eyes and then visualize the part of your body that is in pain.

The bizarre technique is placed in the section of the workbook that summarizes a list of “daily aids,” said to be “for use in your physical walking life.”

But TikTokers are baffled by the seemingly no-nonsense method they claim works.

TikToker Stephanie, who is experiencing chronic back pain as a result of a car accident, told her nearly half a million followers, “I tried one of their techniques for their everyday life and it worked and it drove me crazy.”

In the short clip, which has been viewed more than six million times, she stated that the document was used to “interact with non-physical energies,” which she said was “fundamental” in the CIA project’s Stargate investigation.

But Stephanie isn’t the only one baffled by the tech. One user commented, “Okay, I’m going crazy. I have low back pain and the pain went away.’

Another chimed in, “I just tried this with my hip pain just now and it’s going away…”

Not everyone is convinced, one person quipped, “People pretend they don’t know about the placebo effect.”

The commentators’ somewhat pessimistic view of the method isn’t entirely out of place, as it’s a scary warning to take center stage on the first page of the document.

“The materials contained herein are intended only for the personal and private use of those who have completed the first Session of the Gateway Program.

“The attempted application by others may lead to unwanted and uncontrolled effects that are harmful to such an unauthorized user.”

The Gateway Intermediate Workbook can be accessed from the CIA website.
