WRECKING moment when Chanel customer gets her finger stuck in the store’s TOILET – forcing staff to use pliers to free her after a 15 minute struggle
A customer endured a horrific ordeal after she got her finger caught trying to press the toilet flush button in the washroom of a Chanel store.
The US-based woman named Riley was visiting an ultra-luxury boutique in Venice, Italy when the unfortunate accident happened.
In a 30-second TikTok video, she was seen sitting on a toilet seat as a security guard desperately pumped soap onto her finger, which was knuckle first in the toilet flush hole.
“Okay, this hurts so much,” you heard her say as her two younger sisters watched, trying to suppress their laughter at the awkward situation.

Riley’s two younger sisters — including middle sister Meredith, who posted the clip and a follow-up explanation — couldn’t contain their laughter
The clip, which has more than 1.8 million views to date, was uploaded by the trio’s middle sister, Meredith.
She annotated the clip: “We have inappropriate laughter, it’s been stuck for 10 minutes and the whole team is helping.”
“Traumatizing, but also one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen lmao,” Meredith added in the July 24 TikTok’s caption.
A few weeks later, Meredith shared a follow-up video to provide backstory to the humiliating moment.
“My sister’s finger is fine, for those of you wondering,” she began.
“We didn’t even realize that this video went viral right away… Now my sister is so embarrassed. She says, “I can’t believe 1 million people saw my finger get stuck in a toilet flusher.”‘
The incident started when Riley and their youngest sister went to the toilet together during a family visit to Chanel.
Luckily they were just peeing. That would have been even more embarrassing if it wasn’t,” Meredith clarified—since the embattled Riley hadn’t even managed to flush the toilet before sticking her finger in the hole.
Finally, after about 15 minutes of fruitless attempts to dislodge Riley’s finger, it was a pair of pliers that did the trick
Riley had already finished her business and washed her hands when her younger sister called for help with her toilet’s flush button, which didn’t seem to work.
“She didn’t want to use her finger because she already washed her hands, so she used her knuckle. And she pushed her knuckle in — and then her knuckle wouldn’t come out,” Meredith explained.
And my little sister looks at her and she’s like, “Oh no… Oh my God, I need help, I need help.” And her face is starting to turn white,” Meredith continued, suppressing laughter as she recounted the episode.
The little sister then emerged from the laundry room and approached one of the store clerks asking for help.
“We’re all trying not to laugh because we’re like, ‘Is this really happening? We’re literally in the Chanel bathroom right now, like this is so embarrassing.'”
Before long, about eight employees had gathered around the cubicle of the faulty toilet to solve the humiliating riddle – among them the security guard with a soap dispenser in hand.
At one point, Riley even started begging Meredith to call her engineer husband to get his advice over a phone call. “She said, ‘Get the engineer here,'” Meredith said.

According to Meredith, Riley’s finger was growing by the minute all the while. Like her finger got so swollen.
“And I think to myself, ‘There’s no way she can get her finger out of this toilet flush… Is there a doctor? What are we going to do?'”
In the end, the workers “removed the flush thingy from the wall (and) cut the waterline,” Meredith said.
Finally, after about 15 minutes of fruitless attempts to dislodge Riley’s finger, it was a pair of pliers that did the trick.
“It was so traumatic but so funny,” Meredith recalled. “And I mean, we really talked about it for the rest of the trip. We laughed so hard!’
Countless commentators seemed to think Riley had the right to release Chanel merchandise out of pity.
But Meredith ended her recap of the toilet flush saga with the letdown: “We didn’t get a free bag.”
