FBI agent LIEED when he said he had ‘no knowledge’ of agency trying to suppress Hunter Biden laptop story in discussions with Facebook, damning new transcripts reveal
Two FBI agents involved in the Hunter Biden laptop saga lied about the computer, the Republican chairman of the House Judiciary Committee claimed.
Jim Jordan released excerpts on Monday from the testimony of Elvis Chan, who was one of the FBI’s contacts with technology companies, and Laura Dehmlow, the current FBI section chief of the Foreign Influence Task Force.
Chan testified in November 2022 as part of Missouri and Louisiana’s lawsuit against the federal government and the Biden administration alleging collusion with social media companies to censor speech.
Jordan said Chan had a repeat meeting with Facebook about the laptop, but testified that he only had one session. He also testified that he was not aware of internal discussions about the laptop, but told a colleague that he was ‘informed’.
Dehmlow spoke to the Jordan committee last month.
Jordan said Dehmlow revealed how the FBI knew the laptop was not a counterfeit or plant, but refused to confirm its authenticity to social media companies.
The FBI knew the laptop obtained by The New York Post belonged to Hunter Biden, and photos (above) of him in a drug-addicted state were real, but refused to confirm its authenticity on Facebook and Twitter, it claims Jim Jordan

Jordan tweeted Monday that new internal Facebook documents have resulted in explosive revelations about Hunter Biden’s laptop, arguing it illustrated that the FBI knew the laptop was authentic and belonged to him — but refused to confirm the fact to Facebook and Twitter.
That decision led to the New York Post’s report of the laptop being blocked by the social media companies, labeling it disinformation.
“Internal FB documents reveal that an FBI special agent made false statements in testimony about the FBI’s role in the suppression of the Hunter Biden laptop story,” Jordan tweeted.
Jordan explained in a Twitter thread how, on Oct. 14, 2020, The New York Post published its first story about the laptop, which Biden had left behind in a Delaware repair shop.
The laptop contained a wealth of the businessman’s financial information, plus piles of messages between him and his father – at the time in preparation for the November election. The laptop also contained a large number of highly embarrassing photos of the troubled lawyer lashing out with prostitutes and taking drugs, at the height of his addiction.
On the day the Post published his story, Chan and Dehmlow met with representatives from Twitter and then Facebook.
Twitter’s team asked if the FBI thought Hunter Biden’s laptop was real: One FBI representative answered yes, and another quickly said, “No comment.”
Dehmlow told Jordan’s committee that internal deliberations were taking place at the time and that the answer would be “no comment” from then on.
At the next meeting, with Facebook, Dehmlow himself told Facebook “no comment” when asked if the laptop was genuine.
“It was an ongoing investigation and we generally do not comment on ongoing investigations when asked to do so,” she told the Jordanian commission.
Jordan stated on Monday, “Did Dehmlow know the FBI had the laptop and it was real? Yes.
“Did other key members of the FBI’s Foreign Influence Task Force know about it? Yes.
“The FBI knew the laptop was real and decided to say ‘no comment’ anyway.
“We know what happened next.
Twitter and Facebook have censored the @nypost story.
“The Biden campaign secretly set in motion the events that led the 51 former intelligence officials to discredit the story as Russian disinformation.”
Jordan and his allies are convinced that the FBI was working to discredit the story, trying to downplay it and boost Joe Biden’s electoral chances.
Jordan then selected excerpts from Chan’s testimony late last year.
Chan was asked by Missouri and Louisiana officials if he had been involved in meetings with Facebook after Oct. 14 where the Hunter Biden laptop was discussed.
Chan replies that he doesn’t believe that.
“I was convinced that I was not a party to a meeting with social media companies where Hunter Biden was discussed outside of the one incident I told you about,” Chan said.
However, Jordan said on Monday that his committee “recently obtained an internal Facebook document PROVING that Agent Chan had a secret ‘follow-up’ conversation with Facebook about the Hunter Biden laptop story on Oct. 15, just one day after the @nypost story.” . and the first Facebook meeting!’
Jordan noted that Chan also claimed in the statement that he had “no internal knowledge of (the FBI) investigation” involving Hunter Biden’s laptop, but according to internal Facebook documents, a colleague said he was “aware was of the current state of affairs’. within the FBI.”
Jordan added, “Is it any wonder that the Biden DOJ has so far thwarted the committee’s efforts to interview Agent Chan?”
