Carey was escorted out of the casino on September 1 after a bag fell out of his pocket while gambling.

After all, the zip-lock bag contained anti-inflammatory drugs he took to treat pain from his football career, Carey claimed.

Carey was reportedly slapped with a two-year ban from entering Crown’s premises, quit his Triple M radio show and was barred from attending Channel 7’s Brownlow Medal broadcast.

Carey has had several love interests in the past.

He was previously married to longtime partner Sally McMahon and tied the knot in 2001 after meeting at a party in Wagga Wagga when he had just turned 20 and she was 17.

But the couple’s relationship quickly made headlines for all the wrong reasons. Just a year after tying the knot, the North Melbourne captain was involved in a sordid affair with his former teammate Antony Stevens’ wife, Kelli.

To make matters worse, Stevens was by Carey’s side as groomsman at his wedding.

Carey and Sally managed to mend their relationship and had a daughter, Ella, now 17, before separating in 2006 – just months after her birth.

After their split, Carey began a relationship with model Kate Neilson.

The pair were briefly engaged in 2009, but split shortly after each other amid allegations that Carey was being unfaithful.

He moved on to Stephanie Edwards in 2011 before announcing their engagement four years later.

But it turned out to be another failed romance for the AFL star, with the couple confirming they had split in 2016.

Stephanie Edwards announced she got engaged to Carey in 2015, four years after the pair started dating in 2011. The couple shares a seven-year-old daughter named Charlotte, who they welcomed in 2014. They broke up in 2016
