Lionel Messi fan fights against FC Dallas during Inter Miami’s match as a man in an Argentinian shirt takes on TWO others: ‘Woah lol chill it’s just a game bruh’

Lionel Messi’s widely celebrated arrival in MLS had some unintended consequences on Sunday in Dallas, where a brawl broke out during Inter Miami’s Leagues Cup tie with the Toros.

As seen in a viral video on social media, four fans – including a man in an Argentina Messi shirt and a female spectator – stepped into the concourse during Inter Miami’s penalty shootout victory.

The woman tries to pry apart the primary combatants, while the man in the Messi jersey brings a flurry of hay to the other two men.

At one point, the man in the Messi jersey was in a submission hold, but managed to break free to flip another man onto his head, resulting in a pile-up.

It is unclear if anyone has been arrested as a result of the scuffle. Frisco, Texas police spokesmen did not immediately respond to DailyMail.com’s requests for more information.

A Dallas resident known as “Vince” posted the video to Twitter, where it has since gone viral.

“Woah lol,” Vince wrote, “chill it’s just a game bruh.”

Temperatures in the Dallas area have been scorching lately, with daytime temperatures reaching 105 degrees. Temperatures were reportedly over 100 degrees before Sunday’s kickoff in Frisco, Texas.

Game-wise, Messi scored again from a mesmerizing free-kick in his third successive two-goal appearance for Inter Miami, a tie that led to victory over FC Dallas on penalties in a Leagues Cup elimination match on Sunday night.

as a 4-4 draw was reminiscent of the game winner on his Inter Miami debut, both on free kicks from just outside the box in the waning moments, both sneaking past the goalkeeper into the top corner of the net.

This time, the left-footed superstar was on the right of the net and defeated FC Dallas’ Maarten Paes at the near post in a similar fashion as he did from the left in a 2-1 win over Mexican club Cruz Azul in his Inter Miami debut.

‘I don’t think it says much. I think everyone can see it,” FC Dallas coach Nico Estévez said. “Obviously for him a free kick is there like a PK for another player. You have to pray that the ball goes out of bounds or he fell on the run-up to kick the ball.’

The win in the round of 16 sent Inter Miami to the quarter-finals of the Leagues Cup against the winner on Monday evening between Charlotte FC and Houston.

The second of Messi’s three consecutive two-goal appearances came in the first Leagues Cup elimination match, a 3–1 victory in Miami over Orlando City that was postponed for an hour and a half due to a torrential downpour in Florida.
