Do YOU recognize this former child star – 37 years after she starred in one of the greatest sequels ever made?

She became a child star after a standout performance in a 1986 movie alongside a Hollywood A-List leading actress.

The budding performer was just 12 years old when she landed a role in the now iconic sci-fi movie directed by one of Hollywood’s most acclaimed film directors.

Although it was the second installment in a franchise, the film is regarded by critics and fans as one of the greatest sequels ever made, alongside The Godfather Part II and Terminator 2: Judgment Day.

She won Best Performance by a Younger Actor/Actress at the 1987 Saturn Awards for her role.

But can you guess who she is?

Who is she? She became a household name after starring in the 1986 movie Aliens with Sigourney Weaver

The mysterious actress is Carrie Henn, who played the character Newt in the 1986 movie Aliens alongside Sigourney Weaver.

Newt was a 9-year-old survivor of an alien massacre in the film.

The film was written and directed by James Cameron and Sigourney returned to the franchise to reprise her role as Ellen Ripley.

It is a sequel to the 1979 classic directed by the formidable Ridley Scott.

Michael Biehn, Paul Reiser, Bill Paxton and Lance Henriksen also starred in the film.

She was discovered by casting agents in 1984, while at her school cafeteria in Lakenheath, England while in the country due to her father’s career in the Air Force.

Carrie was then invited to audition at Pinewood Studios for the part of Newt, which she eventually got.

Her only other acting role is as of 2020 – voicing a union worker in the animated film Thunder Island.

Carrie, now 47, became an elementary school teacher rather than pursuing an acting career.
