Crystal Palace are in talks over a first loan deal for Bayer Leverkusen centre-back Odilon Kossounou.

Palace want a central defender due to Newcastle United’s interest in Joachim Andersen, while Marc Guehi is also coveted.

Palace are trying to negotiate a loan with a commitment to buy Kossounou for around £24 million.

The defender is highly regarded in the Bundesliga and would be a welcome addition to Palace’s defensive capabilities this summer.

Roy Hodgson’s side have already finalized the signing of Matheus Franca from Flamengo

Hall is highly rated at Stamford Bridge and Chelsea are keen to commit him to a contract extension as they look to send him out on loan.

A midfielder by nature, Hall was used as a left-back during his time with the Chelsea first team and could bring versatility to the Eagles.

Roy Hodgson’s side have already completed the signing of Matheus Franca from Flamengo for £17 million plus add-ons, including £4 million should he win the Ballon D’Or.

With a lack of incoming players so far in the transfer window, Palace are stepping up their efforts to add to the first-team squad at Selhurst Park.
