A young woman who died in the passenger seat of a black sedan after her male driver allegedly drove into a parked truck is remembered as a “driving force” who brought joy to everyone.

Cennet Akgun, 25, aka Jenney, was in the Nissan Skyline at about 11:40pm Friday when the driver, Ahmed Khazma, 24, reportedly crashed into the lorry on Broadhurst Road in Ingleburn, western Sydney.

Emergency services rushed to the intersection and treated Mr Khazma for minor injuries before he was taken to Liverpool Hospital for mandatory testing.

Ms. Akgun, who worked as a personal assistant to a nearby mechanic, died at the scene.

Hours after the tragedy, loved ones and colleagues flooded social media with tributes – one friend said she had just returned from a holiday in New Zealand.

‘No way, I spoke to her the other day! She has just returned from a holiday in New Zealand,” they wrote in a local Facebook group.

‘May she rest in peace. This is terrible news. I feel sick.’

On Saturday afternoon, her boss of Just Engine Management wrote on Facebook: “It is with a heavy heart and watery eyes that I write this.”

‘Jennoo was our sister, our mother, our best friend. She took care of us like her own family.

“She was not just a worker, she kept us in line and motivated us, her enthusiasm kept us going, she was a driving force.”

He said she was “full of bright ideas and suggestions” and made the mechanic a “brighter place.”

“She brought joy to everyone, made us laugh, was the best listener and always gave good advice when we were feeling down.”

“Jennoo, we love you, and we miss you, we will never forget you, and we will always pray for you.”

Mr Khazma was under police guard in hospital before being released and taken to Campbelltown Police Station on Saturday afternoon.

He was charged with dangerous driving resulting in death – dangerous driving, negligent driving (resulting in death) and driving while the license application was denied.
