The pop star, 32, and the Australian film director, 47, showed different shades of their personalities in the stunning black and white photos.

In addition to making funny faces as they held up their hands to show off their new wedding rings, the newlywed couple was photographed kissing.

Rita opted to go braless in the one-shoulder floor-length lace dress and wore nude colored briefs to protect her modesty.

The couple tied the knot in an impromptu ceremony they planned in just two weeks with eight people in attendance, after Rita popped the question during a trip to Palm Springs.

Rita put on an eye-catcher from the British designer and told Fashion why she chose the semi-sheer dress in particular, to walk down the aisle.

She explained, “I was looking for something that would feel unique and a little bit unexpected, so I went with the one shoulder and the lace.

“I saw this Tom Ford dress years ago and found it in my exact size right before the wedding. It can’t get much more than that.’

Speaking of wearing Tom Ford for her big day, Rita gushed, “He’s one of my good friends now, and I adore and admire him so much.” Getting married in his dress was a dream come true.

“And because it wasn’t planned, I didn’t know if the right dress was going to be in town, and I just took the risk and went to the Tom Ford store, and they had it perfectly ready with the veil, in my size. no adjustments to be made.’

For the ceremony, Rita donned a gorgeous one-shoulder white lace dress paired with chunky platform soles.

The star then changed into a dramatic white dress with ruffles and a plunging neckline for the reception, before changing into a striking flared co-ord and lace bralet.

Rita further revealed that she wore her mother’s pearls with her wedding dress, while Taika wore a suit by Brunello Cucinelli.

In January, Rita finally confirmed that she and Taika had tied the knot after months of speculation, describing the marriage as “perfect” and a “special day.”

The hitmaker spoke on Heart Radio Breakfast to promote her latest single You Only Love Me shortly after posing topless to celebrate the release.

Rita said, “Yes (I’m married). I’m officially off the market folks. I’ve chosen to keep it more private and more to myself, but with my new video I’m playing on what could have been.”

She continued, “When the rumors came out, it’s her, isn’t it? I wanted to play on it. I wanted to do a wedding that didn’t go according to plan…that doesn’t mean it actually happened.”

Gushing about the big day, Rita said, “It was perfect. It was exactly, exactly as I wanted.’

“It was fun and perfect. It’s nice to just keep some things to myself, sometimes it was nice and sweet… Sorry, it’s not that interesting. One day I’m throwing a big party.’

Rita and Taika started dating after being good friends for years, with the star telling Tatler last month, “We became really good friends for about four years and then decided to fuck it all up and get married.
