Beyoncé’s fans rioted this week after some of them became convinced that a video recorded at her concert in Boston showed one of her crew members touching or grabbing her behind.
The TikTok video, posted on Wednesday, showed the 41-year-old pop superstar climbing down from a wheeled platform that appeared to be part of her stage setup.
The singer – who recently omitted Lizzo’s name from the lyrics of her Break My Soul remix after being accused of sexual harassment and fat shaming by some of her former backup dancers – appeared to be struggling to get out of the vehicle.
Crouching down, she handed her microphone to a member of her entourage on the left wearing a black suit, while another man in a gray “CREW” jacket stood on the right side of a ladder to help her down.
But fans took aim at Beyoncé’s pants — with cutouts exposing the lower part of her pert derrière — and the gray-handed man when he appeared to touch her backside.

After she turned herself to step down the ladder, both men reached out to help Beyoncé and support her when needed.
The man in the suit held out his hands, but he barely seemed to touch her, holding them in place only to prevent her from falling backwards in the crowd if she lost her footing.
But the crew member in gray first reached out to grab Beyoncé’s as she spun.
As she slowly stepped down the ladder, he held up his hand, first covering her backside, as if to cover it from her fans’ closet, but then it seemed as if he was touching her rear end.
As she stepped further down, he even seemed to move his hand, as if to keep it on her back.
‘She’s crazy!’ yelled a man in the crowd, though it wasn’t clear if he was referring to the apparent skin-to-skin contact, or just the hitmaker’s effort to get off the platform.
“Someone is getting fired!” he added, echoing the video’s caption, “Someone is getting fired in Boston.”
After Beyoncé came off the ladder, the cameron turned to show her bodyguard Julius de Boer, who had a stern look on his face and quickly followed his employer as the two men who helped her down took her backstage .
