Abbie Chatfield goes into a ‘state of panic’ over climate change fears after a warm winter day in Sydney
Abbie Chatfield is worried about how hot Sydney has been lately.
The mercury hit 20 degrees Celsius on Friday as the last weeks of winter transition into spring.
That put Abbie on alert, and the radio star took to Instagram on Friday to share her concerns.
“It’s really f***ing scary how hot it is right now,” she captioned a post showing her in the sun.
She added in a second post: “If anyone has positive climate thoughts I would love it because I’ve been panicking for months.”

The average temperature in Sydney in August is around 14 degrees but can rise to 17 degrees Celsius.
The former Bachelor star has been known to speak out on environmental issues and climate change.
During the NSW election earlier this year, she urged her fans to “vote for change” on climate action.
New South Wales! Vote today! Vote for change! Use your preferences. Don’t just vote for 1,” she captioned a photo of herself attending the election.
“Climate action, rent crisis relief, First Nations rights, LGBTQIA+ rights and so much more is at stake! As one comment says: kick the liberals out!’

Abbie recently revealed in July that she has been on a retreat in Thailand to recover from her addiction issues.
The podcast host, 28, recorded a message for her It’s A Lot listeners explaining that she was taking a week off from work to re-prioritize her commitments.
In an emotional voice recording, the radio host revealed that she has a “real work addiction” and suffers from severe burnout as a result.
“I’m absolutely exhausted and burnt out at the beginning of this year for a variety of reasons,” she said.
“But I’ve been here about five days now and I think I realize my priorities have to shift a bit, to be honest, I’ve taken on so many jobs and so many roles.”
