Arsenal have offered £20 million plus £3 million in add-ons for Brentford goalkeeper David Raya. The offer is expected to be rejected.
According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, the Spaniard agreed personal terms with The Gunners.
He tweeted: “Understand that David Raya has reached an agreement in principle with Arsenal on personal terms.
“Brentford has been informed by the player that he wants to join Arsenal – and talks between clubs on formula/price are now expected to accelerate.”

Arsenal want to sign Brentford goalkeeper Raya as backup to Aaron Ramsdale
The Gunners are leaders after Brentford rejected Bayern Munich’s offer of a loan deal with the option to sign Raya permanently.
It is clear that Raya would not replace Ramsdale as number 1, but would be used in cup competitions and provide more competition for the England international.
Mikel Arteta is said to have doubts about his number 2 goalkeeper Matt Turner, who has been linked with a move to Nottingham Forest.
However, Brentford values Raya – who turns 28 next month – at £40m, while Arsenal want a fee closer to £30m.
Manager Thomas Frank echoed his goalkeeper’s worth, saying: ‘I’d like to get £40 million. Last season he was one of the top four goalkeepers in the Premier League.
Harry Kane is spoken of as £100m-plus. So for a goalkeeper, at his best age (it’s fair).’
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is keen to go one step further this season and win the Premier League title
Arsenal already had a stake in Raya before they took over Ramsdale from Sheffield United in 2021.
Raya, who has an impressive distribution, fits well with Mikel Arteta’s style of play.
The Bees goalkeeper has another one-year contract at Gtech Community Stadium and is expected to leave this summer.
Raya was capped twice by Spain and played every game in the league for Brentford last season.
