NYC’s The Mark Hotel Sues “Underage Drinker Who Protested Celebrity Appearances, Saying Hotel Supports Epstein and Holocaust Denial in Two-Year Smear Campaign After He Was Kicked Out”

The Mark Hotel in New York City has sued an underage drinker and seemingly spoiled brat who protested and paid others to verbally insult staff and guests in a two-year smear campaign after he was banned.

The five-star hotel, located in Manhattan’s Upper East Side, banned Theodore Weintraub from entering — and now he’s reportedly standing outside yelling that the hotel is “helping Epstein,” “groping people,” and “denying the Holocaust.”

Weintraub’s outlandish rants are said to have occurred as celebrities, including rapper Drake, entered and exited the posh hotel.

In 2021, when Weintraub was a minor, he regularly attempted to use a fake ID to access the bar — where cocktails cost $25 each — and to purchase drinks, the lawsuit alleged.

With each passing failed attempt, Weintraub grew more and more aggressive toward those who refused to serve him. In the end, the hotel viewed him as someone who was not welcome at the hotel,” the suit said.

He was eventually kicked out and denied entry to the hotel – where a night in the penthouse costs $75,000. When he tried to have dinner with his family there on September 16, 2021, he was stopped again.

His father – a successful cardiologist in New York – tried to calm the situation and handed the employee his business card. But his son continued to protest his ban, accusing the hotel of being anti-Semitic.

All was quiet for two years, the suit says, but then, in the summer of 2023, Weintraub – whose current age is unknown – launched a swearing campaign outside The Mark Hotel.

Weintraub sat in a parked Cadillac and “grined” as he watched the protesters he paid harass hotel workers and residents, it is alleged.

The five-star hotel on 77th Street has now filed a lawsuit in the Manhattan Supreme Court against Theodore Weintraub and John Doe, his alleged co-conspirator.

The underage drinker’s father is not named in the lawsuit, but Theodore shares an address with Dr. Philip Weintraub, art collecting physician on Park Avenue.

Theodore allegedly paid protesters $25 an hour to “systematically” stand outside the hotel for hours, hurling abusive and defamatory words at workers — even when celebrity guests were present.

The Mark and Phillip Weintraub did not respond in time to DailyMail.com’s requests for comment for this report.

That reports the hotel staff who spoke Patch, “it was like nonstop, going back and forth to every table for hours.” Due to the noise, the hotel had to reduce the outdoor dining hours.

The picketers also hurled swear words at individual employees, calling them “pedophiles” and laughing at a doorman’s bald head.

Some told staff that if they allowed Weintraub to drink in the bar, they would stop protesting. The NYPD was called at least three times about the protests but said they couldn’t do anything because the group is small, one employee claimed.

An unnamed member of staff told Patch, “It’s a real disaster. That month was the worst month I’ve ever had here. It was like something out of a movie.’

The lawsuit alleged that the man had created “chaotic and frightening experiences for guests” and that he had “intentionally targeted or disrupted for the sole purpose of getting revenge on the Mark Hotel.”

Canadian rapper Drake stayed at The Mark on the same dates, while performing in Brooklyn and Manhattan for his tour.

The protester yells at the rapper, “The Mark helped Epstein,” referring to disgraced financier and pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

In another case, on July 17, one of the demonstrators would not leave the entrance of the hotel, so “the defendants fell to the ground and pretended to be injured.”

When the VIP guest arrived at 5 AM, they shouted, “The Mark denies the Holocaust.”

The lawsuit alleges: ‘Representatives for VIP Guest #2 informed the Mark Hotel that VIP Guest #2 was disturbed by the July 17 incident, and based on information and belief, the Mark Hotel’s relationship with VIP Guest #2 was biased .’

Drake’s representatives have been contacted for comment.

It wasn’t until July 21 that the defendants reportedly continued their campaign of “defamation, harassment and disruption,” chanting “The Mark Helps Epstein,” “The Mark Gropes People,” and “The Mark Spreads Disease.”

The lawsuit added: “The conduct of the defendants is now a regular and malicious disturbance outside the Mark Hotel, preventing the hotel from serving its guests properly, and by this action, the Mark Hotel is seeking the assistance of the court to to put an end to it.’

The Mark alleges both slander and slander by Weintraub. It is calling for a court order to prevent the ‘near-nocturnal’ protests within 50 meters of the hotel. An unknown amount is also requested.
