Journalism professor claims children should be exposed to adult GENITALIA to prepare them to see naked trans people in locker rooms – in shocking joke to swimmer Riley Gaines
A college professor has claimed that children should be exposed to adult genitalia to prepare them for the possibility of seeing a naked trans person, in a shocking lash out at swimmer Riley Gaines.
Journalism professor Dr. Katja Thieme had made the comment in a Twitter post she shared criticizing swimmer and women’s rights advocate Riley Gaines.
Thieme, who teaches at the University of British Columbia, had tweeted a video in which Gaines explained the effects of having to compete against transgender swimmer Lia Thomas.
In a lengthy response to the video, which featured Thieme berating Gaines, she also tweeted, “Hey, want to know one of my all-time great parenting ideas?
‘To leave. Small. Children. To see. Penises. And. Vulvas. By. Several. Ages. And. Sizes. In. A. Informal. Normalized. Absolutely. Safe. Way.’
Thieme, a journalism lecturer at the University of British Columbia, fired back at a video of swimmer Riley Gaines

She continued, “The world will thank you for it. And those children too when they grow up.’
Thieme also hit back at Gaines, who has become a leading voice against the inclusion of transgender athletes in women’s sports.
Gaines had competed after finishing fifth against controversial trans swimmer Lia Thomas at the NCAA Championship last year.
She previously said the experience of racing with Thomas, who raced in the men’s competition until 2019, “felt like going into the race with my hands tied behind my back.”
During her Twitter thread last month, Thieme labeled Gaines a transphobe, saying, “Gaines is crying over the emotional effect it had on her that Thomas held the trophy she also won.
‘That’s just whining. What a bad not-even-loser.’
The professor also claimed incidents of women feeling uncomfortable after meeting biological men in locker rooms fueled “anti-trans activism.”
Her thread continued, “Teenage girl on swim team sees or claims to have seen a trans person naked in women’s locker room. Her anti-trans parent or parents shift into high gear;
Thieme had shared a thread about Gaines and expressed her views on anti-trans hate

According to her profile on the university site, Thieme was educated in Germany before attending the University of British Columbia
“They rely on coaches: tell trans people to change clothes elsewhere. Coach says, no we can’t, that’s discriminatory.
“They lean on the club administrator: send a warning message to all members that transgender people use these facilities. Admin says, hell no, that’s crazy and would be all wrong.
“They reach out to Riley Gaines or other transphobes of their choice, they organize protests, events, meetings, hearings and whatever.”
Since her thread, Thieme made her Twitter profile private, DailyMail.com has reached out to her for comment.
Thieme has received a lot of criticism, with one person claiming her tweet was the “definition of grooming.”
One person said, “So to accommodate men in dresses, we now have to routinely expose genitals to children. Don’t these people ever think that other people have different beliefs?’
The professor was widely criticized for her comments on the social media site and has now set her profile to private
Another posted: “This is the absolute definition of grooming. I’d like to see if the university has done anything about this, but knowing how liberalism is so pervasive in academia and in Canada, I unfortunately doubt it. They probably encouraged her.’
While another shared, “If this woman has children, she needs to be investigated. She. is. sick.’
Gaines had previously berated her rival Lia Thomas after she called on President Biden to allow transgender student-athletes to compete against their chosen gender unopposed.
Gaines was disgruntled after Thomas appeared in a video announcing Biden’s proposal to change the current Title IX civil rights law, which prohibits gender discrimination in schools.
Since graduating from college, Gaines has become an outspoken advocate for protecting women’s sports from infiltrated and dominated transgender athletes
She said trans athletes should be able to participate in school competitions without exception.
Biden’s planned amendment prohibits schools from imposing blanket benches on trans athletes in kindergarten through eighth grade.
But it does give high schools the power to ban trans athletes from competing if they feel there are obvious issues around fairness, which are much more likely to arise among trans girls who have gone through male puberty.
Gaines tweeted, “This recording is selfish and shows total disregard for women. The Biden administration is actively and aggressively working to pass laws that would eliminate decent and fair treatment of women in sports.”
Earlier this year, Gaines also publicly endorsed Ron DeSantis in the 2024 White House race, having previously supported former President Donald Trump.
