Sunrise host Natalie Barr’s secret Lotto Powerball win revealed ahead of Thursday’s $100 million drawing
Ahead of Thursday’s $100 million Powerball Lotto draw, Sunrise host Natalie Barr has revealed that she’s scored a huge win herself.
The journalist spoke about the $100 million draw on air with her co-host Matt ‘Shirvo’ Shirvington, who then brought up her Lotto win.
He explained that after a recent Lotto draw, Nat got the win, even though she only won a very small fraction of the total amount.
“Nat has the auto pick where it just repeats,” Shirvo said on Thursday morning’s show.
“And she’s credited with winning like $900 last time — wasn’t the $100 million.”

Nat confirmed this, saying, “$930! A few weeks ago!’
Shirvo said he has not yet bought his ticket for tonight’s megadraw, but plans to do so as soon as possible.
Nat then quipped, “Do it during the commercial break, or maybe while working out!”
Sports presenter Mark Beretta was shocked by this disapproval and said, “Woah, woah, no one else does anything while working out!”

The $100 million up for grabs in Thursday’s Powerball draw is the biggest prize pool of the year and the second largest in Australian history.
There have been six Powerball draws since the last First Division winner was declared and the Lotto has estimated that up to half of Australia’s adult population could buy a ticket this week in hopes of breaking that streak.
With a total of $154,152,386.88 claimed on winning tickets this year alone, that number will almost double if there is only one Division 1 winner for the final draw.
“If just one person hits the full $100 million prize on Thursday night, he will not only get a big boost to his bank account just in time for the new financial year, but also be crowned the second-biggest Australian lottery winner ever” , the statement said. James Eddy van Lott said.
