Nine Britons injured in horrific bus crash on way to Turkish airport

  • Nine of the 11 Britons on the bus suffered injuries and were treated at the scene

Nine British tourists were injured when a minibus driver crashed in Turkey earlier this week while taking them to the airport.

Shocking CCTV footage captured the moment when the minibus jumped off the stop and slammed into an oncoming vehicle on D-400 road in the Manavgat district of Antalya.

The car was pushed back some 150 feet from the intersection due to the sheer force of the impact, while the bus drove into the median and flipped over.

Nine of the 11 Britons suffered injuries and were treated at the scene by paramedics.

Firefighters had to free the driver from the wreckage because his car doors were so badly damaged that he was unable to drag himself out of the vehicle.

A young child traveling in the minibus was one of only two people to remain unharmed and miraculously escaped injury despite the brutality of the crash and subsequent vehicle roll-away.

He was seen calmly looking at an iPad while his parents were treated by paramedics on the roadside grass in the aftermath of the incident.
