Authorities have released the official cause of death for actor Treat Williams just over a month after a vehicle collided with the actor’s motorcycle on June 12.

“The New York Medical Examiner’s Office determined that Mr. Williams died of severe trauma and blood loss resulting from the crash,” the Vermont State Police said in a statement. rack released Tuesday.

Reports from the Vermont State Police indicated that Williams didn’t stand a chance when Koss’s Honda crossed the northbound lane of the V-30 at about 4:53 p.m. and drove into its 1986 Honda VT700c motorcycle.

The police report states that ‘Williams was unable to avoid a collision and was thrown from his motorcycle’. It was also confirmed that Koss was not drunk.

The Golden Globe-nominated actor was rushed to hospital with critical injuries before being pronounced dead.

An eyewitness told DailyMail.com that Koss collided with the motorcycle, sending Williams flying off his bike.

The TV star, wearing a helmet, was then left sprawled on the sidewalk a few feet from his motorcycle.

It was later revealed that the 35-year-old driver and Williams actually knew each other from the local Dorset Playhouse Theatre, where Koss works and where Williams once performed the play American Buffalo in 2017.

A Hollywood star famous for his roles in the drama series Everwood and the 1979 film Hair, Williams, 71, was best known locally for his down-to-earth hospitality and generosity.

In a follow-up statement, Van Sant added: ‘The children and I are grateful for the outpouring of love and support from our local community as well as from fans and colleagues around the world.

“We will continue to live every day with compassion for others to the fullest in honor of my husband, our beloved Treat, and the children will carry on his legacy of joy and craftsmanship in their artistic careers.”

While Williams’ family mourned the tragic loss, Koss herself was left despondent, according to neighbors.
